Democrat Illinois Governor Rod Blagojevich is a crook’s crook. Even by the gutter level standards of Chicago his guy is a lowlife. But more than that, he is a moron and possibly a blackmailer.
First the lowlife/moron part: obviously Blagojevich was a crook from just about day one which is why he was selected to run for governor. The bum is in office for three years and has been under investigation for half of that span. Since it takes a while to get an investigation going, he must have been spotted right away, like a shoplifter at Wal-Mart. Besides being a crook he is also a moron. As far back as early December 2007 published reports about his wife being under investigation hit the streets.
A Law school graduate, Blagojevich eventually worked as a Cook County Assistant State’s Attorney, a position at which he obviously learned nothing, especially nothing about wiretaps. This man is a crook and a moron of the classic crooked Chicago mold.
He had a year’s warning to shut up and stop implicating himself on telephones. But of course as a Chicago Democrat he believed he was untouchable. Had it not been for a Republican US Attorney he would have been.
Now for the possible blackmailer part: For the past two years the Chicago Tribune investigated Barack Obama over his connections to Tony Rezko. Nevertheless,, last month for the first time ever the Tribune endorsed a Democrat for president. Was this a blackmailing or a quid pro quo? Blagojevich’s wiretap caught him demanding the firing of an unfriendly editorial writer at the financially troubled Tribune while publicly threatening them with trouble getting funded.
There’s definitely more to the story of why the financially troubled Tribune would endorse a Democrat it knew was covered in Tony Rezko’s crap..

The daily kooks are reporting that 0bama and Rahm Emanual brought down Blogo. If they did, Blogo would have every motivation in the world to bring down 0bama. I would not be surprised if the Clintons’ PIs are not arriving at Ohare this very minute. This could be the openning the Hildebeast needs to run in ‘12.

Really, is this not the media’s fault? I mean, c’mon, if the media ignored the Illinois local democrats talk about maybe having to impeach Blogo before the 2008 election for the sake of their party (which didn’t come to be), and ignored the Rezko deal whereby 300K dollars was transferred to Obama in a weird real estate deal, why shouldn’t Blogo not think his phone lines were clean? There’s no story, right?
Anyway, Fitz has job security now.

I doubt that. Fitzgerald would earn a place in history as the first attorney to ever bring a president-elect on criminal charges. He would be bigger than Clarence Darrow.
I’m suspecting that he knows he can get to Obama through the people who will be coming out of the woodwork to stick it to Blago. He doesn’t have to risk his political hide by going right at Obama. He can let the evidence come to him now.

Blogo, already under suspicion, got cocky with the Messiah’s election. He gave Fitz a clean new case, not fuzzy like the Messiah’s deal with Rezko or a question whether campaign contributions are bribes or not.

They should of cut a deal with him for reduced prison time, put a wire on him, and sent him to his sales meeting.

Not being from Illinois I ask the following:
Is this guy so clueless or arrogant that he did not know he was being investigated by the feds? And he still tried to sell the Senate seat knowing or not caring about the ongoing investigations?

Do you, or anyone else, honestly believe for one second this investigation will get traction and go anywhere once Obama is president of 1/2 of the United States. We can't even get him to show his proof of eligibility to assume office. A few unscrupulous people will get nailed and that is that.This is not the beginning, it is the end. WE ARE DOOMED.

Who told Fitzi to stop the investigation immediately and arrest him while he was "in the middle of a crime spree"?
I'll tell you: Someone (s) who didn't want the investigation to nail the bigger fish, that's who.
Fitzi's reward will be that he will be the only one of the special prosecutors (93) involved who won't be fired the minute the Zero is inaugurated.
There's a good reason for this. According to Fitz, Blago went ballistic when he found out Obama and crew were only offering their "appreciation" for delivering a particular politician to the open seat.
That sounds innocuous on the surface. But it begs the question: (in caps now)
IF OBAMA WAS APPROACHED BY BLAGOJEVIC TO COMMIT A CRIME, WHY DIDN'T OBAMA BLOW THE WHISTLE RIGHT THEN AND THERE?
That's why Emanuel got out there claiming they tipped off Fitzgerald. If Obama assisted in covering up the attempted commission of a crime, it's going to get very ugly, quick.
