Supreme Court to Uphold or Ignore the Constitution?
Capitol Hill ^ | Dec. 7, 2008 | JB Williams

Posted on 12/07/2008 11:14:58 AM PST by PlainOleAmerican

As of this writing, December 6th, the Supreme Court has not yet announced whether or not it will take up the Donofrio case, or any other case concerning Obama’s constitutional eligibility for the office of President.

Yet there is no more important issue before the court today and the clock is ticking.

(snip)

The Supreme Court of the United States of America has but one primary obligation to the American people, and that obligation is to use the power afforded it under Article III—Section I of the Constitution, to uphold, protect and preserve the U.S. Constitution, the Charters of Freedom, and provide equal justice for all, without regard to personal political leanings or ambitions…

"I think it makes us look bad-sore losers"

What? Are you some pretty boy? Don't want the paparazzi to catch you without makeup?

Why the hell am I supposed to care what some Lefty thinks of me?

Yes I do realize the working taxpayers voted against O.

I think the SC has no choice but to review this case carefully.

There is an energy in the air. Guns ans ammo are flying off the shelves. People are openly talking about a topic that years ago would not even be mentioned.

My friend was in a gun store and a man came in and purchased $1,200.00 in ammo.

I think you’ll have to take that up with the Supremes.

It’s not just lefties that think this is not worth pursuing...Rush, Hannity and even Michael Savage is ignoring it.

This is what the Supreme court case is about. The plaintiff is claiming that Obama is disqualified because of the immigration status of his Mother.

Here’s a plan...

Since you think the whole birth certificate thing is about republican sore losers, I propose a compromise.

The first black marxist half white american that can produce a proven birth certificate that proves he meets constitutional qualifications to be prez, will be our next prez.

Satisfied?

I mean it. I would be 100% in favor of this resolution coming out of the supreme court. At this point, all I care about is the constitution. It’s all I have left. We are not going to have a republican in the whitehouse. But we sure as F* should have a goddam AMERICAN in the whitehouse.

Exactly how can you tell if a birth certificate is a fraud?

You, sir, are hopeless

“There are only two categories of US citizens, natural-born and naturalized.”

Perkins v Elg(1939) seems to support your argument.

“If he was born elsewhere, the issue gets complicated, but he may still be eligible.”

I can’t see how. His mother wasn’t old enough under the law in effect in 1961. Barry Obama has probably never been a US citizen, and is likely subject to deportation.

Who cares? it’s just a ploy to force him to show his birth certificate.

Let the ploy work.

This case reminds me so much of the frowned upon practice by some of the Church of the Latter Day Saints of posthumously baptizing people (especially Jews). Does that baptism make that person posthumously a Christian? Not hardly. Does a parent being of a nationality other than American disqualify the child born on American soil of their “natural born” status? Of course not.

Okay, Lefties.. et al. Happy now?

So you expanded my question. That's different than answering.

“As far as I can tell, he has proven he was born in Hawaii”

Pretty difficult to do that, since he was born in Mombasa, Kenya.

Very funny-look you have no idea how disappointed I was when McCain lost and not because I loved McCain or the GOP for that matter. Although, I really like Palin who has been crucified by the drive by media. But,I digress. We lost. I don’t believe Obama was born in Kenya. This Supreme Court suit which basically has to do with his mother’s status is a dud. I bet the supreme court doesn’t even mention it. Friday was the important date-it passed.

His mother wasn’t old enough under the law in effect in 1961.

I'm not an attorney, but this seems unlikely to me. I seriously doubt the intent of the law was to produce a citizenship trap for children of young married American women.

I do know the present version of the law requires the American parent to have lived in the USA for 2 of the previous 5 years.

Gingrich didn’t destroy conservatism; the cowards in the house did when they lost an election and scapegoated this very smart guy. The Republicans allowed Gingrich to be destroyed...they eat their own.
