David and the rest are right. He has been elected. Even if you are right this is such a strange technicality that it means squat. He is elected and no one but no one can take it away from him now. Geez, his mom was a US citizen.

If he ain’t a natural born citizen, he ain’t president. Very simple.

Sorry, it does not mean squat. Either you go by the constitution or you don’t.

Geez, his mom was a US citizen.

Doesn't mean anything if he was born overseas. Here is the law :

Birth Abroad to One Citizen and One Alien Parent in Wedlock: A child born abroad to one U.S. citizen parent and one alien parent acquires U.S. citizenship at birth under Section 301(g) INA provided the citizen parent was physically present in the U.S. for the time period required by the law applicable at the time of the child's birth. (For birth on or after November 14, 1986, a period of five years physical presence, two after the age of fourteen is required. For birth between December 24, 1952 and November 13, 1986, a period of ten years, five after the age of fourteen are required for physical presence in the U.S. to transmit U.S. citizenship to the child.

She did not live in the US for 5 years after the age of 14 before he was born. If he was born overseas, not only would he not have "natural born" citizenship, he would not have US citizenship.

By the way, He hasn't been elected yet. That doesn't occur until the 15th when the electoral votes are counted and certified the Senate.

"Geez, his mom was a US citizen."

Are you saying every child of a US citizen mother is automatically a US citizen at birth?

The fact that you think the fact that his mother was a U.S. citizen decides the issue shows that you haven’t been paying attention.

Obama is almost certainly NOT a U.S. citizen—not when he was born, and not NOW.

You've been here for 10 years - read up on this instead of shooting from the hip.

Poor ignorance. So the constitution don’t matter. Let fraud be perpetrated with 600 millions dollars and 60 million of uninformed/careless people.

Given that Obama’s paternal grandmother says he was born in Kenya, why on earth shouldn’t he be required to show a valid birth certificate?

Yeah, who cares what that old piece of paper called the Constitution says. It’s just a technicality written by a bunch of old dead guys. Just throw it in the trash if it is inconvenient, a mere “technicality,” eh?

Why would he spend close to ONE MILLION dollars to keep the full Birth Certificate locked up? Why not pay 10 bucks and put this issue to bed. That said, the ONLY logical conclusion is that he is hiding something. I think we have a right to know, and he has an obligation to be honest and open. When did this become a country where that is asking to much?

Yes, you're right. What a "strange technicality," requiring that the candidate be a "native-born citizen!"

I guess if it’s a just technicality, then it must be a technicality that I pay taxes.

What a surprise (NOT). The MittBOTs are in force
to protect Obama (whom they backstabbingly helped install).

He has been elected is a milk toast response. Lets say he WAS born in Kenya. If so BO, the Democratic party, Dr. Fukimo of Hawaii and Gov. Lingle of Hawaii have committed fraud by giving the impression he WAS born on US soil. Just because he was elected does not mean that fraud is OK. Plus covering up his past records seems very odd.

Would you feel this way if any other foreigner had been elected? Say a person known to be born in another country? If they got on the ballot by lying about being a citizen and everyone voted for them, it doesn't negate the Constitution; it is still wrong under the law.

The Constitution says “No person except a natural born citizen, or a citizen of the United States at the time of the adoption of this constitution, shall be eligible to the office of President.”

I am not sure about the birth certificate issue and that is not what I am talking about here. What I AM talking about is that you are either going to have a Constitution that means something or you are not. Our Constitution is designed to be solid and reign in the tyranny of the masses who vote for unconstitutional issues on a whim or because they don't know better. Remember, at one time segregation was the desire of the majority, yet for the good of society it was declared unconstitutional.

There are all sorts of countries that regularly throw away their constitutions, Mexico being one, and the result is a politically unstable country.

Now, which kind do you want?

Tomorrow we will find out what the Supreme Court Justices decide. Leo Donofrio’s case was referred to the full Court by Justice Thomas. The FULL COURT then referred it to Conference, which was held this past Friday. It takes four of the nine Justices to agree to fully hear the case. In other words, if four decided it should be heard the case will be fully heard before the full Court.

We will know the Court’s decision sometime Monday morning. Until then, there will be lots of information out there to look into, but the facts about what is going on with the case will be found at Leo Donofrio’s web site. If you are interested in checking it out to understand his claims and defending research the site is below.
http://naturalborncitizen.wordpress.com/

There are now five cases before the Supreme Court, one before the Supreme Court of California and many other cases before courts across the country.

All many want is the truth and for our Constitution to be upheld no matter WHO is President and Commander in Chief.
