BURNSVILLE, Minn. (FOX 9)One of the five men suspected to be a suicide bomber who killed himself and 29 others last October in Somalia, was buried Wednesday at a Burnsville Cemetery.
FOX 9 has learned DNA tests have confirmed Shirwa Ahmed was one of five suicide bombers who killed himself and 29 others last October in northern Somalia.
He is also a Minnesotan and a naturalized U.S. citizen.
The FBI helped return Ahmed's remains to his family.
At a Twin Cities cemetery in Burnsville Wednesday afternoon, the suspected suicide bomber was laid to rest.
Shirwa Ahmed, 27, was given a traditional Muslim burial.
Family and friends did not wish to talk about the circumstances of his death.
Community activist Omar Jamal is one of the few who will.
Honestly I look at him seriously as a victim and not as a criminal, I think of him as a young victim," says Jamal.

Things are not right in America today.
"Some of those suspicions have focused on the Abuubakar As-Sadiq Islamic Center.
It's religious leader, Sheikh Abdirahman was prevented from traveling to Mecca last Saturday.
He tells FOX 9, he believes he was placed on the no-fly list because of the on-going investigation."
This is SO wrong in SO many ways.
There is NO logic to ANYTHING the gubbmint does anymore and its going to get worse.
That particular cemetary was purchased a few years back by a Muslim business. My late Father purchased four plots there in the early 60’s. My brother was buried there in ‘80.
My Mother cannot be consoled......
Proably,a finger, an eyeball and a couple of toes, the rest was probably too finely distributed, if you get my drift, to recover.
Guess who got to pay for all this?
UnFReaking Believable!
Finally, we find out what community activists do.
When oh when, will our government get their heads out of their asses? There are islamic nuts all over our country! We PAID to have this POS shipped home for burial? Outrageous! Sickening.....etc.
Meet the new fascists ... same as the old fascists.
We need to adopt a national policy that the remains or any parts found to be that of a suicide bomber/terrorist/muzzie will be wrapped in a blanket of pig skin and buried in an undisclosed location.
Be it known, hear ye, hear ye.
Better yet: pigs are omnivorous. Feed the remains to the pigs.
Not a bad idea but I can’t see the fairness in possibly making a very good pig sick. That is why I have suggested use of pig skin, at least the poor pig wouldn’t know how it was being abused.
As an alternate, cremate the remains with a pork loin, so the ashes are permanently intermingled. Give ashes to whoever wants the remains. Wait a month, then let the pork loin info leak out.
Recently there have been many articles written about young Somali men leaving the states to go back to Somalia to wage a jihad.
What if they are going back to Somalia to learn how to wage Jihad, only to come back and be welcomed with open arms, because they are now naturalized citizens. Could this be the next line of attack?
I don’t know why they had to send the remains back. Throw ‘em in the trash with the other rubbish.
(Picture) A real big grin on my face this morning when I read this. I like it. Now that is some series kind of thinkin’ goin’ on there.
A jihadi is a jihadi. Once they are involved in jihad, whether it is training or operations, they should not be allowed back.
In a world of common sense, that would be the case. But unfortunately we don’t live in a world with common sense anymore.
Tell me why the FBI returned the remains to the family? They were terrorist no matter where they blew themselves up. We are engaged in a war on terror and our federal government pays to have the remains of terrorist shipped back to make the families of the terrorist happy? PC will and is killing us.
Purina Pig Chow candidate, oh well.
