The Republican National Committee will report Thursday that it spent about another $30,000 on clothes and accessories for Sarah Palin during her vice presidential bid, a GOP source tells Politico.
Palin took a major public relations hit when Politico revealed that the RNC in September shelled out $150,000 for clothes and accessories from high-end retailers for the Alaska governor, who built her political persona around a folksy, regular-gal demeanor.
The additional spending will be detailed on the committee's post-general election report, which is due to be filed with the Federal Election Commission before midnight.

Michelle could take a clue from Sarah, and dump that black widow dress, and half/half. could start dressing like the up coming POTUS, I liked it when the Bush Presidents dressed out of respect for the office.

I want a total list spent by the Obama campaign on Obama’s and Michelle’s clothing. Until then, I will consider this sexist.

So how much did Barry and Michelles clothes cost and who paid for those? I believe that Barry is not required to report to the FEC, since he did not accept public financing.
That also goes for all those bogus donations, many of them probably from foreign sources.
The difference in how the two campaigns are treated is courtesy of McCain-Feingold.

This is such a waste web space. It doesn't matter to her supporters how much the GOP spent on her clothes...Sarah only wore them at their direction.
Her fans don't care, and the left is not going to support her anyway.
They CAN'T get to her on the substance of policies and government, so they go after the clothes, hair-do's and whether or not Tina Fey looks more like Sarah Palin, than Sarah Palin.
These are silly little games being played by media members who are still stuck in high school cliques. Let them rant, steam and seeth...it doesn't matter.
One huge difference be liberals and coservatives is, liberals are lemmings - that's why both of those things start with an 'L'...they match. Lemmings believe and do whatever the MSM and party bosses say; Conservatives make up their own, individual minds.
That's why it means so much more for conservatives to go "gah gah" over someone like Sarah...because we've listened to what she's had to say...not because her skin is a different color and the "party" told us to support her.
I think that is one of the reasons we lose sometimes, maybe too many independent thinkers. Too splintered.
So let AP, Politico, Oprah, and all the rest have a hissie over Sarah...the stove doesn't burn unless it's red hot.

What I’d like to know is why is the press obsessed with this story? Sure, they want to take Palin out, that much is obvious. But why do they think this story will do it? I know I don’t care. But they must figure someone does. Maybe they figure it will diminish her appeal with women who will see her as an uptown wannabe and get all huffy about it? That must be their theory because men don’t care about how much a woman’s dress cost.

30K more for charity, then. They ought to get on the stick getting that organized and figure out the right timing to get the maximum PR value out of it.
