If true, very good news. Next to Omar and Baitullah he is the highest ranking Taliban.

One Paki source in Swat is confirming. Waiting for details.

He was known as "Radio Mullah" for running clandestine FM stations all over Swat.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Maulana_Fazlullah

"With the support of more than 4,500 armed volunteers, by late October 2007 Fazlullah had established a "parallel government" in 59 villages in Swat Valley by starting Islamic courts to enforce sharia law."

Becoming a leader of some extremist Muslim faction is like becoming the oldest man in the world. It’s a great honor but soon you will be dead.

The Pakis had better get rid the Taliban and Al Qaeda they are harboring. Or else we will end up fully on with India and start carving up Pakistan like a turkey. America isn’t going to put up with this terrorist crap any longer. And if they think Russians or Chinese are going bail them out, they’d better understand that we can bankrupt both of them in a New York minute.

Pak Army calls Baitullah Mehsud, Fazlullah “patriotic” Pakistanis

Mon, Dec 1 11:35 AM

Islamabad, Dec 1 (ANI): The Pakistan Army has termed some notorious militant commanders belonging to the Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan, including Baitullah Mehsud and Maulvi Fazlullah, as “patriotic” Pakistanis.

These two militant commanders are fighting the Army for the last four years and have invariably been accused of terrorism against Pakistan, but in the aftermath of the Mumbai carnage has suddenly turned terrorists into patriots, The News reported.

His death probably sounded like someone trying to pronounce his name.

sounds like a lot of the mountain folk want to end the conflicts in the FATA before it gets assaulted in a major way. Mumbai has change some attitudes it appears.

also from the ANI article I linked in upthread..
http://in.news.yahoo.com/139/20081201/874/twl-pak-army-calls-baitullah-mehsud-fazl.html

All the main militant groups fighting in the Federally Administered Tribal Areas, from South Waziristan to Bajaur and from Mohmand to the Khyber Agency, have contacted the government through different sources after the Mumbai bombings and have offered a ceasefire if the Pakistan Army also stops its operations.

A top security official said: “We have no big issues with the militants in FATA. We have only some misunderstandings with Baitullah Mehsud and Fazlullah. These could be removed through dialogue.”The Indian allegations against Pakistan have suddenly forced the military establishment in Pakistan to finally accept that they are not fighting an American war inside Pakistani territory.

Sounds like the Pakis are releasing propaganda to falsely portray themselves as “cracking down” before the world cracks their asses.

I refuse to believe anything a Paki says about who they've whacked without the body bag and the confirming DNA....

The world needs to very carefully keep an eye on all the expat Pakistanis -— once the “home land” is punished - and it WILL be - many of them will become potential threats....

I've always regarded them as the cockroaches of the Muslim world, just one step above the vermin Palestinians...

No, I am not PC --- I speak descriptively from experience.

Agreed, Paki reports need a lot of vetting. But they are broadcasting this news on TV in Swat and Mohmand. Along with the Interior Ministry, that’s a good sign.

.

I’m thinking the Ann Coulter scenario of Muslims is the only solution for insane killer cults

Killing adult poison snakes and turning the baby snakes loose will only kill innocents more and more

Muslims are the pitbulls and seasnakes of the world

If that offends anyone - Tough!
