this and the reporting on the run-off in Georgia show the new narrative. Anyone who does not support Barack is a backwoods racist out of step with the rest of America. Any idiot who thought this election would move our society past racial issues is incredibly clueless.

In my experience, most criticism from Democrats about Republicans and/or Conservatives boils down to the usual charge: Greedy Bigots.

If we cut Memphis out of the picture, Tennessee would be a great place to live.

Isn’t Nashville drowning in liberals?

It’s obvious the oddballs at NPR are going to be the kissup network for the next four years. Aren’t they publicly supported? People ought not to give them any money at begging time although I’m sure the democrats will see to it their propaganda mouthpieces are fully funded at taxpayer expense.

NPR= National Propaganda Radio

They are lazy as Hell. As a citizen of the great state of Tennessee we knew the GOP was going to take the legislature because of the Democrats stupidity and corruption. Had nothing to do with the Messiah. Who we never saw the entire campaign season, thankfully.

“NPR = Nincompoops, Putzes, Retards”

Instead of insulting the retarded, the “R” could stand for rejects.

Don’t forget these creeps, just like those at NYT, have to sell goods to survive; they could care less whether they sell truth and credibility or whatever, just as long as someone continues to throw out the life ring - one fact-deprived story at a time.

I don’t know that we’re in nearly as bad a shape in that regard as Memphis, for example, but we do have a lot of lefties. I refuse to call them “liberals”. I did have a conversation with someone who is a friend of long standing, but who has always voted Dem. That person told me that they are personally beginning to feel that “buyer’s remorse” on the Obama thing. One thing they willingly admitted is that he was elected primarily BECAUSE he was “black”. In any person of good will and reasonable intelligence, that fact alone strikes a discordant note.

The racialist demagogues of the left have seen how successful their rhetoric is; after years of crusading against racism (in by any account the least racist country in the world) they have gotten what they were really after all along: the most liberal president ever. There is no possibility that they’ll abandon a strategy that’s worked so fantastically for them; if anything the racialism will only get worse from here on out. The national witch hunt for ‘racists’ (defined as anyone who opposes Obama) is only just beginning.

You people don't get it, NPR is anti-GOP because they are deathly afraid that if black voters are presented with the facts about any given issue, and have it explained to them how the Democrat Party IS the Party of the Klan, of Slavery, of Segregation, of Bull Connor, police dogs and water hoses, that most black voters who have a lick of common sense will embrace the principle of NPR:

Negroes Prefer Republicans*.

THAT is what really p#sses off the leftists at NPR.

[*well, except for this year]

Used to live in TN ... do they still have a DEMOCRAT Controlled HOUSE even though there are MORE REPUBLICANS? I never could believe that when I lived there. Talk about RINOs ... they had the votes, but “liked” the Dem leader. Oh me.

“Isn’t Nashville drowning in liberals?”

I was born and raised there. I moved to Colorado in 99’ for work reasons. I watched a flood of liberals move from the North to Middle Tennessee with their attitude of “we know better”. That, coupled with the tendency of the older folks to vote Democratic, really changed things. My Dad, who was very conservative, always voted Dem. Southerners are a pretty conservative lot and very stubborn. If the Republicans stand up for their principles they won’t have a problem.

This is just my opinion of course.

Not nearly as badly. Vanderbilt has a very liberal faculty, and the surrounding neighborhoods are liberal, but the suburbs are rather conservative.
