Schulz, chairman of We The People Foundation, in Tribune ads this week. Here's one passage Schulz says that "U.S. law in effect in 1961 [the year of Obama's birth] denied citizenship to any child born in Kenya if the father was Kenyan and the mother was not yet 19 years of age." If a child is born ... to an American parent outside the U.S., the law at the time would require the U.S. citizen parent to be at least 19, which Obama's mother was not. The provisions of this law were subsequently loosened and made retroactive for government employees serving abroad and their families. It appears that this would not apply to Obama's mother. Olkon and Janega point out that "the matter would seem to be academic: Hawaiian officials vouch for Obama's birth certificate," but even if it were to turn out that Obama's mother was actually in Kenya when she gave birth to him, the age requirement was and is absurd and unjustifiable; easily remedied, if necessary, with the passage of a retroactive law smilar to the law that applied to "government employees serving abroad and their families." Schultz is deluded if he thinks the Congress -- even those in Congress who opposed Obama -- or the courts would stand by and allow to unfold the crisis that would ensue if Obama were denied the presidency on a technicality.

Yes, I am sure they will. On on January 20, 2009 at 12:01 P.M. EST right after Chief Justice Roberts swears Obama into the office, the members of the military will have their new Commander in Chief.
Who would he pick as his Vice P?
Yup...
and then it is just a short car ride with a Kennedy to... President !!!
Nobody did anything when JFK got into office same game for omama.
Something is afoot. I think the truth is catching up with Obama.
***Be patient. The press is on a learning curve.***
You have to believe that there’s a Woodward & Bernstein out there somewhere - with the contacts, resources and curiosity to find the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth.........
Even Drudge hasn’t touched this blue dress!!!!
The SCOTUS meets Fri. to go out and look at the side of the barn, it used to say natural born, but if the pigs have been out there again, there’s no telling what it says now.
“Technicality” is a strange word to describe one of the few constitutional REQUIREMENTS for the position.
To the author: Take a long walk off a short pier!
if Obama were denied the presidency on a technicality.
Ping.
I looked at the site. It’s a bit confusing - are they marching on D.C. both weekends? It says Dec. 5 and also Dec. 17.
This is the Chicago Tribune. A democrat newsletter since Col. McCormick left us.
As far as I know, it is just this Friday 12/5. The Justices will meet in Conference from 9:45-12:45 before they take a break. Details will be on Joe Thunder’s site and will be talked about tonight on Plains Radio Network at 9:00Eastern.
Thanks. The site has this Friday for SCOTUS, but then as you scroll down it has the Dec. 17 date on there twice. Just wondering. Too far away to attend either.
There doesn't happen to be any logical response to the legitimate question of why factcheck posts a photo of a different document to claim the issue moot than that which 0bama put on his own site to claim the issue moot, does there??
Didn't think so, thanks anyway.
The comments are crashed !!
Obama made two trips to Hawaii and grandma.
First trip - got grandma to file an affidavit changing the birthplace from Kenya to Hawaii. This made an official COLB match the data on the original forged COLB. THe new official COLB was given to factcheck the next week.
Second trip right before election — Obama gets grandma to file affidavit changing the father to Frank Marshall Davis... birth records now list two American parents...
could be could be.......
Wow! A precident! That’s important. It should be sent to the plantiffs and publicized more. I’ve never seen anyone bring that up. Who took him off what ballot? Sec of State in California?
“Thanks. The site has this Friday for SCOTUS”
Yes, I understand as it is too far for me to go also. Just hope Freepers will spread the word to folks they know in the D.C. area who might want to take part in the march on Friday. This is to support Donofrio and Wrotnowski and to bring attention to this important decision that will be made by all nine Supreme Court Justices. :)
“Thank you, told you. Technicality? Have they forgotten our Constitution? It’s the glue that holds US together when times are tough.”.
The majority of Americans don’t give a damn about the Constitution. Pretty much every lawyer in America has to learn to ignore it to graduate from Law School. I’ve had many conversations with many lawyers and they, without exception, have the most twisted and bizarre interpretations, all based on precidents - and almost no ability to read the plain document as it is written.
Then, consider, that almost all of our legislators are lawyers and you can see how they are able to pass laws that are unconstitutional.
What percent of what FedGov does is unconstitutional? Isn’t there a “no standing armies” clause in there?? How many Freepers want to see that one enforced? The older generation (pre-WW2 up to Goldwater) of Conservatives made clear arguments about the Constitution, and the illegality of Social Security, Medicare, etc.
The modern GOP, most Conservatives, and most conservative leaders (as in: McCain, Romney, Guilliani and Huckabee) would laugh at you if you said we needed to end foreign aid, shut down Social Security and pass an amendmnet to allow a standing army.
If you ran for office suggesting these things you would be called a crank, be mercilessly pillored by the so-called conservative press (Medved, Hewitt, et.al) and be lucky to get 5% of the vote.
“Its just a XXX-XXXXXX piece of paper!, is what Bush supposedly said about it. True? Can’t say, but they all act that way, so it’s easy to believe.
