"Former President Bill Clinton and former Vice President Al Gore both stumped for Martin. President-elect Barack Obama recorded a radio ad for Martin and sent 100 field operatives, but he didn't campaign in the state despite a request from Martin to do so."

Goodbye Jim Martin, Obama's Toadie, and your team of Obama-cultists and stooges. Good bye. Most of us in Georgia look forward to never hearing from you again. Perhaps you can get a job working for the ACLU in California.

By the way, let us know when Obama finds his birth certificate. Obama is a fraud, and so is everyone associated with him.

Chambliss' victory thwarted Democrats' hopes of winning a 60-seat filibuster-proof majority in the Senate.

Um, except Saxby is a RINO.

In the present situation even the worst RINO is better than a Senate totally controlled by Obama's hand puppets, and Chambliss isn't the worst RINO by a long shot.

The question is, how far will treacherous RINOs such as Collins, Snowe, Spector. etc, go to keep Obama's collectivist agenda from becoming law. If even one or two of those turkeys refuse to take part in a filibuster or the threat of a filibuster the game is over.

I figured it really didn’t matter who won since Saxby has been such a disappointment. However I went to Atlanta last week and saw the Jim Martin commercials that revealed what a boot-licking Obama toadie Martin would have been. Now I just hope Minnesota Senator Coleman’s victory over the detestable Al Franken isn’t stolen by the count every leftist vote crowd.

And in Minnesota they are still trying to find more votes for the Big Fat Looser

This shows the power that Sarah Palin brings to the political table. Even though Chambliss is a RINO, this must really get their attention, hopefully heads are exploding throughout liberaland, including RINO Repubs.

The GOP is basically dead and will not be resurrected until it is purged of sell-out RINOs and their ilk. I’m certainly not a member, YES I continue voting for individual candidates, no more money to a party, whether state or national, only to individual campaigns.

Next RINO contest in our state: Kay Bailey Hutchison, everyone’s cheerleader that absolutely disappeared during Sarah’s campaign, never defended or backed her and her family from the scurrilous, evil attacks by the deranged Dimbulbs but smarmy, wishy-washy Texans thinks she’s (Hutchison) great.

Well, I don't think Chambliss is a RINO, but I DO think he's somewhat weak-willed, which is the main problem with a lot of those who are perceived as being RINOs.

I think that it's time to kick all Republicans who someone here on Free Republic calls a RINO out of the party.

That way we can make sure we get down to about 20% of the Senate and electorate and be a permanent minority.

Sounds like a brilliant plan to me.

Chambliss trumped them with Sarah

I don't particulary like Chambliss, but I'm very proud that Georgia was able to inflict the first of what I hope are many resounding defeats to 0bama.

Hey, don’t forget that Martin surrounded himself with guys dressed in “thug-chic” for that photo-op.

I’m sure that helped his case.

This was a much needed shot in the arm for us. After two successive drubbings in the 2006 midterm elections and last November, I haven’t seen our numbers this low since the aftermath of Watergate. And even back then there was a sizable bloc of conservative Democrats (mostly from the South) that we could work with from time to time. This is unfortunately no longer the case.

Those who claim that we are still a center right nation are smoking something pretty powerful. That this nation would elect a radical extremist who openly associates with known terrorists and attended racist churches and was raised a Muslim in a foreign country speaks volumes of how dramatically to the Left this nation has moved. True, McCain ran a perfectly crappy campaign, but this was simply no excuse for the electorate to turn to such an obviously phony media created charlatan with such a checkered background as a Saul Alinsky-trained community street agitator.

These must be the best days of Bill Ayers’s life and that violent pig wife of his, Bernadine Dohrn. All their lives they have worked for this. First as violent terrorists later as genteel and respected members of the community in BHO’s radical chic neighborhood of Hyde Park. It is enough to make you want to vomit. What is it about a city like Chicagograd when its fabled religious leaders are men like Rev. Wright, Fr. Pfegler, and Louis Farrakhan?

It is said that the Deity-elect will reach out to Republicans and govern from the center. My ass. This man is the product of the most ruthless one-party political machines in the entire country. Politics ain’t bean bag in BHO’s Chicagograd. And look who BHO appointed to be his chief of staff: Rahm Luca Brasi Emanuel, another veteran of Chicagograd’s brutal cutthroat politics. Yeah, this is the same guy who told the Republicans to eff themselves. Emanuel is easily one of the most ruthless political enforces in the entire country and his goal is to completely wipe out the GOP and the Conservative Movement. He made is bones years ago when I was dating cheerleaders, even sent a rival pollster a dead fish wrapped inside a newspaper like something out of the Godfather.

This country will be moving to the Left in ways we haven’t seen since the 1930s and 1960s. Democrat members of Congress have been patiently waiting for years for this once in a lifetime opportunity to enact all of their pent-up liberal/left legislative agendas. BHO’s core constituency, the urban proletariat, ACORN etc. has worked for years for this and will now be expected to reap the rewards of their efforts.

The left stream media assures not worry. Look at all the Clinton holdovers being appointed to jobs including Madame herself. Yes, I know this hard to believe, but within in the context of Democrat politics, HRC is considered a right-winger— a veritable Scoop Jackson Democrat. This is how left-wing our nation has become. And who would have thought on election night that normally sensible states like North Carolina, Virginia, Indiana, Colorado, and Nevada would have wound up in BHO’s column? The late Sen. Jesse Helms must be turning over in his grave.

The American people have simply taken leave of their senses. I’m hoping the Chambliss victory last night will signal a slow but sure re-awakening of our party and consevatism. I’m hoping that the recent terrorist attacks in Mumbai and acts of piracy off the Somali coast will remind Americans that we are still at war with radical Islam.

But most importantly, I am hoping that our party will find a winning general who is always focused, always on message, always on offense, and who will go out across the country to recruit high quality candidate to run for Congress, governor, and other offices. The legendary Prussian military theorist, Carl von Clausewitz, once said that war is the continuation of politics by other means. Ruthless political operatives like Rahm Luca Brasi Emanuel also know the opposite of von Clausewitz’s theorem is also applicable.

Let’s hope the Chambliss victory last night is indeed the opening salvo to our comeback from total political oblivion. I’m sick of losing elections and playing on defense all the time. Time to go on offense. There’s nothing to lose now. Like Jack Dawson said when he was gambling for a ticket on board the ill-fated Titanic, you have nothing to lose when you have nothing to begin with.

Make no mistake, it was Palin who won this for Chambliss. Also to be noted, Obama skipped out on campaigning for the socialist...I mean democrat. I have a gut feeling that he didn't want be seen as not able to win that election if his guy lost..that would have been very embarrassing both within democrat circles and with the American people.
