LITTLE ROCK, Ark. The parents of a television anchorwoman beaten to death at her home said Monday their daughter was sexually assaulted during the attack, and an arrest warrant released by police says DNA evidence linked an eastern Arkansas man to the crime "with all scientific certainty."
In a television interview on NBC's Today show, Guy and Patti Cannady said Anne Pressly, 26, was beaten so severely that a portion of her jawbone was broken away. The couple said their daughter also broke her left hand while trying to defend herself.
The Cannadys said "yes" when asked if their daughter had been sexually assaulted during the Oct. 20 attack at her home. Ms. Pressly, 26, died Oct. 25 without regaining consciousness. "This monster stole my daughter's innocence," Patti Cannady said. "He took her life. He took her identity. He took our lives."

Chilling. Sometimes I wonder why a heinous crime like this would even get a trial by jury. What a waste.
Did anyone seriously doubt that this monster perp would rape as well as kill?
Too bad Southern justice isn’t like it was 100 years ago.
This animal deserves the death penalty ASAP.
I would pay $5,000 for the right to kill this monster myself. It would take a long, long time.
Once they capture the guy, he needs a speedy and fair trial and if convicted, as coldly and calculated as possible, he needs to be executed as one would remove a stain.
I would still pray for his soul though.
Ever read “The Shack”?
“with all scientific certainty.”
Good enough for me. String him up!” Screw the 20 years of appeals.
What interest exactly is being served by asking her parents if she was sexually violated? None, except ratings. We the public do not need to know that, its none of our business. Respect for family privacy is no longer of any consideration.
This scum is from my former home town of Marianna, Arkansas. I say “former” because there’s no way I’d live there again. It ain’t the “Mayberry” it was when I was growing up.
A few years back an old lady was raped there. I hope they test this guy’s dna with that case, right after they’ve hung him.
Bring him to Texas.
The brutality of these crimes should surprise no one, the way the popular culture beats the ‘racism’ drum constantly. Its just payback, y’know.
Sick stuff.
If I show this to my wife, maybe she’ll bother to sit through the CCW class and get her permit finally. I keep nagging her to do it, but maybe this’ll convince her she needs to.
Mixed feelings about that one...this individual certainly deserves it, but how many innocent people were lynched because they were in the wrong place at the wrong time? We'll never know.
The person who mentioned it said he believed it was an act of God that she was able to read it before everything that she suffered.
I haven't read it, but I'm told that it addresses the issue of horrible things like this happening to good people, and answers questions about where God is at times such as these.
I always think how our sinless Lord suffered on our behalf.
If we lived to be 200 years old, it wouldn't be a blip in eternity. I'm so thankful, because of Him we have the choice of where we spend eternity, and never have to suffer the likes of this evil again.
My heart breaks for Anne's suffering this, and her mom finding her, and having to see her precious daughter like that, yet, at the same time, I know she couldn't have born not being with her.
This man has far worse in store for him, if he doesn't repent and change his life.
Oh come on, they found the suspect and he’s a black dude.
Oh, wait......
Wouldn't need one if it had been my daughter. Prayers for the parents.
Someone told me recently about “The Shack.” But, I haven’t looked at yet.
I freely admit I can’t pray for someone like this.
Mmmm, hmmm, I’d like to see a jury nullify THIS.
Time to find a tall tree and a short rope.
