I found this hilarious and creepy at the same time. Kind of old, but in my day, we got sent home and suspended for a week. Seems Gestapo to me to arrest him for this.

I don't know.
My brother in law used to pass gas that I would consider ‘Attempted Murder’.

They have to arrest a kid for farting and playing a prank? What a bunch of effing lightweights in publik skool.
A fine lesson they are teaching about the power and intolerance of the state ...

Public Schools are very much like State Prisons these days, to me it is the only solution the State has, total control, total power, no deviations allowed or you will go to jail.

I thought I read somewhere else he tipped over some tables or something and the teachers could not control him, that’s why the police got involved. The farting part is why the press took interest.

Not too long ago my kid got two day detention for saying “Thats gay”. I went to school talked to the principle, nothing was going to change. So as I left I told him I thought his policies were “Gay.” I can still see the look on his face!

I found this hilarious and creepy at the same time. Kind of old, but in my day, we got sent home and suspended for a week. Seems Gestapo to me to arrest him for this. Either you didn't read the article, or you didn't comprehend it. The kid was being a serious and continuing disruption.
The money quote:
According to the report, the incident occurred Nov. 4, when the 13-year-old boy continually disrupted his classroom environment by purposely breaking wind. He then shut off some computers other students were using. A school resource officer placed the boy under arrest after he confessed about his behavior, according to the report. He was charged with disruption of school function and released to his mother.
Sounds like the right result in this case.

There has to be more to this story. This kid may have a long list of problems in the school and maybe he was warned “One more time and we call the police.” who knows......
I have seen some pretty rough kids that do not belong out in public much less in a school.....

"He confessed."
Must have been those "silent" types.
Deadly.
"Charged with disruption of school function."
Gee, under a "three strikes" law, I'd have received a life sentence.
