I found this hilarious and creepy at the same time. Kind of old, but in my day, we got sent home and suspended for a week. Seems Gestapo to me to arrest him for this.

Either you didn't read the article, or you didn't comprehend it. The kid was being a serious and continuing disruption.

The money quote:

According to the report, the incident occurred Nov. 4, when the 13-year-old boy “continually disrupted his classroom environment” by purposely breaking wind. He then shut off some computers other students were using.

A school resource officer placed the boy under arrest after he confessed about his behavior, according to the report. He was charged with disruption of school function and released to his mother.

Sounds like the right result in this case.

OK then work on expulsion. Arrest? Come on! Our law enforcement has better things to do than to be working on unruly students. Anyone doing things much harsher than this in my day got EXPELLED, not ARRESTED.
