What’s Jeb doing in 2010? ;-)
To: SoFloFreeper
Do the current demographics in Florida make the possibility of a “real Conservative” winning realistic?

Jeb really has to disassociate himself from his brother. I don’t know if that is his style.
To: WilliamReading
Geez.
Is there ANY Latin Republican that can run for this seat?
To: SoFloFreeper
His mission is accomplished.
Conservatives have been routed and the Republican party is mortally wounded.
The Obama administration will carry on for him.

Since he was born in Cuba and since it’s possible the next President may have not been qualified maybe Mel is thinking about a 2012 run or President.

Jeb is also FOR amnesty for illegal immigrants! Why are even so many here on FR pushing for another “pro-amnesty for illegal immigrants” politician?

For all the “RINO” talk...is it just because of his amnesty position?
because isn’t his ACU rating one of the highest in the senate?

Well, I’ll give Mel points for announcing that early so the games can begin. It would be nice to have this sorted out before the primary but we’ll get the usual gaggle of contestants with the victor having only 24% of the vote.

On the Republican side, there may well be a push to recruit former Gov. Jeb Bush into the contest although that seems like a long shot. State Attorney General Bill McCollum will almost certainly be mentioned as will state Senate President Jeff Atwater and former state House speaker Marco Rubio. Reps. Vern Buchanan and Connie Mack also may consider a run.
Adam Putnam or Kathy Harris (who I was campaigning for in the Primaries!!) would be good, too.

Yup.
And people are missing the fact that his replacement will be a step left on most issues. Unless it’s Jeb.
But I have a feeling we’ll be running another unexciting party guy. Perhaps the off-year rule will help us overcome.....
