WASHINGTON Republican presidential hopeful John McCain fixed his sights on Saddam Hussein long before President Bush sent the U.S. military to oust the Iraqi dictator in March 2003.

In my honest opinion McLame lost it when he sign onto that POS Bailout Bill.
I made up my mind right then and there that I will NEVER support (however tepidly) another Senator for POTUS again. NEVER!
I agree. At that point, it became difficult to argue that the Republican party was less socialist than the Democratic candidate/party.
Dole, on the other hand was a better Senator and a better man for the job.
The Republican Party now lays in ashes partly because of McCain's incompetence.
Tell me something that I did not know 6 months ago.
He just barely had my support before he picked Governor Palin...had it solid when he did....and squandered it like a drunken sailor when he voted yes on that POS.
I will never forgive him for that because in essence, he threw our country down the crapper by default.
The “old guard” went with an old, Bob Dole-esque candidate because it was “his turn.” McCain was old like Dole, a bad candidate like Dole, represented a “new right” wing of the party like Dole, ran a bad campaign like Dole....so was it really any surprise the election ended in a Dole-like result?
No more Bob Doles or John McCains as the party’s nominees, please.
So did Bill and Hillary Clinton and half the libs in Congress. Looks like he continues to run with the same crowd in thought and deed..
The German Courts (the Kosovo Albanians' Ally) ruled that there was NO KOSOVO GENOCIDE.
The UN Court in Kosovo (which included an Albanian Judge) ruled that there was NO KOSOVO GENOCIDE.
But, McCain & the rest of the Clinton crew including Obama, keep repeating that same lie over and over, as though repeating it will turn a lie into truth.
Dole also had a last minute ‘twist’ by picking Kemp for VP and they weren’t coordinated on the issues. Same with McCain and Palin and the campaign was awkward as a result.

Skippy, I see you again get your information from the far left and their hate for those fighting against Landry’s heros the IslamOfascists.
American men and women and our allies are fighting the enemy so school boys can sit in their father’s home and
spread leftwing crap against those who are fighting for freedom
First off, my name isn't Skippy.
American men and women and our allies are fighting the enemy so school boys can sit in their fathers home and spread leftwing crap against those who are fighting for freedom
Freedom? LOL. The U.S. is entangled in Middle Eastern affairs because of the globalists and their twisted vision of "opening up" the Middle East to the rest of the world. The U.S. funnels billions of dollars on a daily basis to hostile powers for oil and is then surprised when they turn on us. [Furthermore, why the hell is the U.S. borrowing from such foreign States and then turning around and spending those dollars to defend their sorry arses?]
The solution is not more war. The solution is to damn the Greenies, open up all domestic energy supplies and natural resources for development, and tell the terrorists in the desert to go pound sand. Let them drink their own oil. Then, pull out, and let the Muslims return to killing each other instead of doing this:
Oh, and by the way, please try to realize that the primary role of the United States Government is to provide for a common defense of the United States territory against all enemies, foreign and domestic, not to rule the world by imposing its will on other countries. Too bad that the U.S. was too busy doing the latter to fulfill the former on September 11.

The views are right out of the Marxist Code Pinkos I have countered many times at their rallies.
I have many relatives who have fought in Iraq and Afgh. and are still over there. I hear and read first hand
what the truth is vs. one of the typical far left anti war, open border, fairness doc. lemmings.
You go to "Marxist Code Pinko Rallies"? Wow!
"I have many relatives who have fought in Iraq and Afgh. and are still over there. I hear and read first hand what the truth is vs. one of the typical far left anti war, open border, fairness doc. lemmings."
As far as "anti-war", what person in their right mind worships war and thinks that war is "a good thing"? War is and always should be a court of last resort, in defense of the United States of America and no one else! That is what our country was founded on.
No one is suggesting "open borders" EXCEPT the libs and the neocons -- McCain (Mr.McAmnesty) being one of them!
Hate to break it to you but you are arguing against your own position, SoCalPol
It’s too bad he didn’t evolve into retirement before he polluted the Republican primary elections and ended up handing Obama a victory.
Your same delusional thinking can be seen at DU and KOS
BTW enjoy your candidate’s selection
