Score: Parker 70%, Dobson 30%

I agree and disagree with both of these people. I think a lot of the conservatives Parker refers to in her article tend to hang out with people like themselves. I know people like this. They don't realize how much the country has changed both demographically and socially.

Since the 1965 Immigration Reform Act (passed when Democrats controlled the House,Senate, and Presidency) the country has been flooded with tens of millions of third world immigrants. These people are now in their second and often third generation. They are natural Democratic supporters. The Republicans simply have not come to grips with this. These people for the most part want big government and liberal social programs. THAT'S A FACT!

Just because you are fleeing tyranny or want a better material life doesn't mean you have a clue about what it takes to be a citizen of a democratic republic. They sure as hell aren't going to get it in the public schools. They don't teach citizenship any longer.

This is a huge problem for the Republicans. Karl Rove and the Bush team think they can court Hispanic voters. RUBBISH! Hispanics don't like homosexual marriage and most don't like abortion but on every other issue are solidly liberal or even leftist. Bush and Co are very stupid about this. Yes the Cubans in South Florida are very anti-communist but take that issue off the table and they WILL vote democratic by at least a 2 to 1 margin. This will probably come about as a result off their offspring voting Democratic. Castro won't live forever and when he goes the situation will only get worse.

Yes Bush and Rove are very stupid about the Hispanic vote. Just because in few election when Republicans were running against a white male Democratic the Republican got about 45% of the Hispanic vote isn't reason to celebrate. If that Republican were running against a "person of color" as the PC like to put it, the Democrat would have got 75% or more of the vote.

The Hispanic vote for Obama or against McCain ought to shut up Rove once and for all but I know it won't. He makes his living giving dumb advice and this won't stop him at all.

I can't stand Parker. I can sense that she hates people of faith. You can tell it in her snide writing. But Dobson is wrong for the most part. Like I said he hangs out with people like himself and doesn't see what has happened around him.

So reluctantly I go with Parker. The Republicans have a big problem on their hands. It's not that the people of religious faith are turning off people in the middle, it's that these new voters are simply in favor of socialism. It's that simple.

You are VERY wrong here for a variety of reasons:

1. Most Cuban Americans do NOT consider themselves people of color. According to most surveys, 85% are white. Hell, anyone who lives in South Florida can tell you that fact.

2. Most Cuban Americans are middle to upper class.

3. Cuban Americans have a high rate of intermarriage with other white Americans.

4. Cuban Americans are now a minority of Florida Hispanics, thanks to the large influx of Puerto Ricans and Central Americans.

You are right. All the elites from every profession in America need to spend a month living, shopping and observing life in the southwest. We don’t live in America anymore. Third world rule by mob, crime and bribery is here.

The values that founded this country will never go out of style. My views are not dependent on who wins or who loses elections. As long as there are people believe in what is right and true - our day will come again.
