Obama is a leftist. But he's not a fool and he knows destroying the economy would lead to huge Democratic losses in 2010 and jeopardize his reelection prospects in 2012. So he is going to move very cautiously and ask the Left to bide its time. And a Democratic Congress is going to defer to a President from the same party. They both have the same interest in getting re-elected. There will be no radical lurch leftwards in a first Obama term.

Uh-oh! Time to bash Barnes! He must be a secret neo-con!
(Maybe he's even a secret Zionist!)

Oh, brother. Ubama is the biggest shucker and jiver out there. This is all for show.
Think about it, Fred. When Kennedy's Socialized Medicine Act reaches Comrade Ubama's desk do you expect him to veto it? Sign it "present"? Wad it up and shoot a 3-pointer into the trash can that has a mini-backboard and hoop attached to it?
For the love of pete. We are so screwed.

He’s a fraud with a huge ego. He’ll play the game first term then a hard left if he was re-elected. So far he has only won an election...isn’t even President-elect yet....and the supremes are looking at his illegal alien status...

Nor does retired Marine general Jim Jones, who's slated to be Obama's national security adviser. Jones, an Iraq war skeptic, is a strong supporter of offshore drilling and other steps to increase domestic production of oil and gas. ? WTF is Fred Barnes drinking/smoking/snorting/shooting into his veins??
Hussein is not going to support drilling. Since when does the NS Advisor talk about oil drilling?? Not to this guy.
And from what I've heard, this Jim Jones is a real Kool-Aid drinker when it comes to bashing Israel.

I hate to break with my party, much less Summers, but the first thing Barack Husssein Obama needs to do is scrap NAFTA and scrap the WTO, and follow the Larouche model and begin a return to Bretton Woods monetary policy... That would long term restore confidence, restore jobs, and restore our economy...
the dollar should be defended, with 21% interest rates if necessary, and American jobs should be defended with 200% tarrifs if necessary...
