When I keyword-searched news.google.com two days after the Mumbai terror attack, I found ZERO media discussion of India's draconian gun laws. These laws facilitated the November 26 massacre. Since mainstream reporters aren't pointing that out, this video strives to do it for them.

A few Indian CCWs might have made a difference.

A few Indian CCWs might have made a difference Probably not. The attackers were heavily armed and took cover right away.

Probably factored into why they chose India as a target.

A lot of good the gun laws did. It didn’t stop the terrorist from getting them and using them.

Yea, unfortunately, this was too well planned. They would have been ready.

They were very well trained. Still if I was in the hotel and I had a CCW - I would have a chance.

Can’t remember the freeper’s name, but he was on a thread about the attack shortly after it began, was near one of the areas attacked, and was discussing this.
He said since the residents there can’t own guns, there is no place to even buy them.
My first thought is an armed resident could have taken at least one of the attackers out and saved a few lives.

I read the one room had 15 dead in it. Even if there were three or four bad guys there the victims should of rushed them. Might of got some but five people piling on top of you makes it hard to use a gun.

Lets see...American cities and citizens become prey to roving bands of Islamic terrorists. I think that is number 14 on Husseins “change” list. Of course, #13 is “confiscate all guns.” Gee, we DO have something to look forward to, huh!

At least you’d have a chance to take 1 with you then. Otherwise all you can do is run/hide.. Awful.

Just recently I talked to my friend who lives in Karachi, and I asked him about gun control laws there, and he told me that they do have gun control laws there, but the party in power does allow “their” people to carry guns and to shoot them off, up and down the streets. My friend left his home during election time, and he was grabbed by his arms, with a man on each side of him, trying to force him to go and to vote. My friend only wishes that America would make Pakistan the 51st state of the USA so he could be free. Corruption is beyond belief there.

In 1929, the Soviet Union established gun control. From 1929 to 1953,
about 20 million dissidents, unable to defend themselves, were rounded
up and exterminated.
In 1911, Turkey established gun control. From 1915 to 1917, 1.5
million Armenians, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and
exterminated.
Germany established gun control in 1938 and from 1939 to 1945, a total
of 13 million Jews and others who were unable to defend themselves were
rounded up and exterminated
China established gun control in 1935. From 1948 to 1952, 20 million
political dissidents, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and
exterminated.
Guatemala established gun control in 1964. From 1964 to 1981, 100,000
Mayan Indians, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and
exterminated.
Uganda established gun control in 1970. From 1971 to 1979,
300,000 Christians, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and
exterminated.
Cambodia established gun control in 1956. From 1975 to 1977, one million
‘educated’ people, unable to defend themselves, were rounded up and
exterminated.
Defenseless people rounded up and exterminated in the 20th Century
because of gun control: 56 million.
I guess we can now add India to this list.

Hotels for foreign guests are least likely places where people would have their guns, even if it was legal, just because foreign travel with guns is complicated. Besides, the security of the hotel likely had their guns, poor sitting ducks - they were probably killed first.

It would not be too hard to obtain a license for a weapon in Mumbai. I doubt all of those in the hotel were unarmed.
