I think you could generously interpert his remarks as being sad that anyone, including Indians, were killed. He was obviously choosing his words very carefully. It’s hard to always be perfectly clear when speaking, often, the wrong words come out. I’ll give him a pass.
Perhaps, but it was a very strange formulation that to me smacked of PC sentiment. Would he ever have said the opposite in a similar situation: that it was too bad other terrorists missed, say, Darfurians and hit Americans?
I am going to give him a pass, too. It was a bad way to say it but I can understand his point. The targets were not Indians and, unfortunately ,they got caught up in it. It was the British and the Americans that were suppose to pay the price for being infidels or whatever their excuse is for killing us.
