Today President Bush took part in the 61st National Thanksgiving Turkey Ceremony in the White House Rose Garden. (Transcript)
This is my final Thanksgiving as the President. Over the past eight years, I have been given many reasons to be thankful. I'm thankful to our men and women in uniform and I am incredibly proud to have been their Commander-in-Chief. (Applause.) I am thankful for the armies of compassion volunteers who feed the hungry and shelter the poor. I am thankful for the teachers and nurses and pastors police officers and firefighters, and others who serve their neighbors and better their communities.I'm thankful for the wonderful and supporting family that I have been blessed with. I'm grateful to Laura for her love. I'm grateful for two Thanksgiving miracles who were blessed -- who we were blessed with 27 years ago: Barbara and Jenna. I'm thankful for the fact that my mother is doing well. (Applause.) And this year we're looking forward to having another place at our Thanksgiving table with a son-in-law, and I'm thankful for Henry.
President & Mrs. Bush and their daughter Barbara departed the White House this afternoon for Camp David, where they will stay this Thanksgiving weekend.
Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice held a news conference at the State Department in Washington.

Glad to hear he’s continuing to improve! I am praying for him!
Just call it turkey ham! That counts.
:)
I was watching the Air Force One show while posting photos--it was so interesting that I almost forgot about the Dose, LOL
You’re welcome :)
The nostril and nose is sore from the tubes and oxygen face mask but they gave him some pain relief for this and his back after turning him just now and he is now peaceful and asleep.
Are they not givig him breathing therapy?????? When my dad had this problem they have a medication that they breath in and it makes them cough....
Ugh ... LOL!
I have to admit that I've actually seen that one :)
Thank you, Meg! Happy Thanksgiving to you as well :)
I am not sure if there is medication they give him to assist but on the whole his oxygen levels are good it is more strength to assist with the cough more than the ability to cough which is there but the strength is not.
Happy Thanksgiving, ED! :)
As far as therpy he has physio twice a day and they give him deep breathing exercises and also I keep reminding him to try breathing deeply.
I'm sooo bummed. I voted on the names, and did not vote for Pumpkin & Pecan... :(
Yeah ... It's been that kind of month, lol
Happy Thanksgiving, Seven :)
I was more or less listening to it while I was watching it. I am doing the same with The White House behind closed doors. I will watch it later
Thank you so much for these pictures of President Bush. You can just see the love and respect that the men and women of our armed forces have for him. Whose opinion is more worthwhile, the military or the MSM....easy choice.
I LOVE West Side Story! I always wanted to play one of the Puerto Rican girls who got to sing “America”.
I know what you mean. Time is passing by so quickly now, we have to appreciate every moment.
The first is his normal medication for his asthma and the other I am not sure if this is specific for the problem or if it just the other medication that is the second inhaler that he normally has.
He normally has a blue and a purple inhaler, the blue is what they put in the nebulizer not sure if they are giving him the purple type as well in the nebulizer.
Did you hear them say the WH kitchen is only 500 square feet? That’s tiny for what they have to accomplish.
