The report, among other things, calls for an international decision-making program within the framework of the United Nations to decide on actions to counter asteroids.
The UN make decisions? ROFLMAO!

Right...but who is going to deliver the U.N.’s sternly written letter??

Do asteroids respond to boring speeches? If they do then the UN has a place in the defense of the Earth.

"However, it is preventable ... that's a very important thing to keep in mind. But it is our responsibility to take action to do that."I dunno... taking intelligent pre-emptive action seems so... Bushlike.

Global Warming will cause warm air to rise upward and counter the momentum of the asteroids.

I don’t know why the world bothers with the charade of going to the UN when what they really mean is make the USA fix this for us.

I suspect that they are worried about losing funding once the Global Warming bubble has frozen over. This will be their next big money-raising venture.

Space experts want to come up with a contingency plan on what to do in case a killer asteroid collides with Earth. I'd rather the contingency plan focus on what to do before a killer asteroid collides with Earth.
Who in the hell is editing this $hit?

They want the UN to control it, but the US to man it and pay the lion’s share of it. Sorry, any killer satellites in space should be aiming downwards towards NK, Iran, tribal villages of Pakistan, Venezuela, and of course, whales.

All galatic problems can be best solved by a macho guy with a hot spaceship and a hot babe.
I doubt the UN could find any of those.
