Mumbai: At least 15 people have been injured in gunfights between two groups in at least three places in Mumbai on Thursday night.

Details are sketchy but it is believed that two gangs fired at each other at outside CST Railway Terminus, Hotel Oberoi and the popular Café Leopold restaurant in Mumbai.

The first shooting took place near the CST police station

(IsraelNN.com) Rebbetzin Rivkah Holtzberg, the slain Chabad representative in Mumbai who was laid to rest in Jerusalem’s Mount of Olives cemetery along with her husband Gavriel on Tuesday evening, was five months pregnant at the time of her murder, according to a report by Yeshiva World News.

Shimon Rosenberg, the grieving father of Rivkah, made the surprise announcement during his eulogy.

Rosenberg and his wife will continue to care for Moshe, the 2 year-old son of Rivkah and Gavriel. The Rosenbergs have acquired an Israeli visa for Sandra Samuel, the Indian nanny whose rescue of the Holtzberg’s son was praised as heroic by several rabbis at the Holtzberg’s funeral, including former Chief Rabbi of Israel Rabbi Yisrael Meir Lau. Samuel will assist the family in caring for Moshe, who is described as having a strong and love and trust for the Indian woman.

Rosenberg, who gave an emotional eulogy for his daughter and son-in-law in the Lubavitcher town of Kfar Chabad, praised the couple for drawing many Jews closer to the Torah and Judaism in life and in death. “Thousands of women on this past erev Shabbat lit candles because of you,” Rosenberg cried. “It was Rosh Chodesh (the new month) Kislev. On that day, lights were lit around the world. Those who regularly do not did so for you. You are the cause of this achdut (unity). It must continue!”

According to reports, Rivkah’s body was discovered wrapped in a tallit (Jewish prayer shawl). It is believed that her husband Gavriel covered her body as a final act before being executed by his captors.

Mumbai, Dec 02: Azamal Amir Kasab, the terrorist who was caught alive by security forces, on Tuesday made some more startling disclosures regarding his group’s deadly terror strikes in Mumbai.

According to reports, the 21-year-old terrorist, who hails from Pakistan’s Faridkot, told the investigating agencies that they had divided themselves in two groups and each group was allotted different work.

Elaborating further, Kasab told interrogators that one group shot video of important targets in Mumbai and the other conducted reccee of those places as many as four times.

Based on the information collected through these methods, his associates then prepared their blueprint for attacks, Kasab revealed.

The terrorist, who had earlier confessed during interrogation that they had planned to blow up the historic Taj Mahal Hotel, further disclosed that the famous Leelawati Hospital was their next target.

He also revealed that as many as 17 militants left Karachi for India in one plane and out of which seven went missing after the security forces’ crackdown on terrorists.

Although he refused to divulge details about the missing terrorists, it is now believed that they all might have fled to Pakistan.

Kasab disclosed that they planned to hold foreign nationals and NRIs as hostage so as to compel authorities to allow other militants entering the territory an easy passage.

India’s Deputy Interior Minister: All Mumbai Attackers Came From Pakistan

Shakeel Ahmad, India’s Deputy Interior Minister, has stated that the terrorists who carried out the November 26, 2008 Mumbai attacks were from Pakistan. He added that Azam Amir Kasav, the only one of the perpetrators of the three-day-long shootouts to be arrested, is also from Pakistan.

Ahmad noted: “The terrorists who have been killed in these encounters in Mumbai in the last few days were of Pakistani origin.”

Pakistan has denied any involvement in the Mumbai attacks.

Azam Amir Kasav, also spelled Ajmal Kasab, told Indian investigators that he is from a village near Faridkot in Pakistan. There are two small towns by the name of Faridkot in Pakistan, one about 50 km from the city of Multan, and the other about 200 km from it.

However, Ahmad stopped short of blaming the government of Pakistan for the terror attacks, adding: “We are not saying that it [the 11/26 attack] is sponsored by the Pakistani government.” [1]

Report: Mumbai Gunmen Used Cocaine To Stay Awake

The gunmen who went on a rampage in Mumbai, India for almost three days had drugs in their system and drug paraphernalia, such as syringes, were recovered from the scene of the assaults, according to British paper the Telegraph. Meanwhile, India says there is overwhelming evidence the gunmen came from Pakistan.
