NEW YORK, Nov 25 (Reuters) - Two of New York's four major daily newspapers slammed the board of Citigroup Inc (C.N: Quote, Profile, Research, Stock Buzz) on Tuesday, with a New York Post editorial calling for all of the directors to be removed and the Wall Street Journal saying most of them did not deserve to remain.

The day after the government stepped in to rescue the New York-based bank with an injection of $20 billion and a plan to shoulder most of the potential losses on $306 billion of toxic assets, the New York Post said that "they need to go."

How about public drawing and quartering and then displaying their heads on pikes in front of the stock exchange? Let the punishment fit the crime.

Thrown in Rubin and Paulson for good measure. Include Barney Frank and his lover Herb Moses.

Citibank STILL plans to pay $400 MILLION for naming rights to the new Met’s stadium. Buick dropped Tiger Woods, who was actually bringing in customers, so I think this is ridiculous!

Right now, S****bank shouldn't even be buying toilet paper for its employees.

Citi Field will soon go the way of Enron Field.

For a more appropriate name, change the "C" in Citibank to "Sh".

Those are good suggestions. But nothing at all seems to be happening. In a different article, where they discussed the refusal to say where the 'bailout' money was going, it was noted that:

The government is not expected to require any management changes, as that was seen as potentially being too destabilizing.
