Former NFL star quarterback Michael Vick has pleaded guilty to a state dogfighting charge in Virginia in a bid to make him eligible for early release from jail.

Thanks, but no thanks, we’re happy with Matt Ryan. :)
And for more on this POS dog-killing degenerate (from November 24)...

‘But after failing an October 2007 FBI polygraph test “as it related to the killings of the dogs,” Vick recanted his denial and “admitted taking part in the actual hanging of the dogs.”’
While I don’t agree with dog fighting, it was JUST dogs. Do you care as much for the millions of chickens, pigs, goats and cattle that lose their lives everyday? Do you care about the around 3000 infants who are sucked out of their mother’s wombs everyday?
I don’t think this matter rises to the “rot in hell” level.
I thought he was involved in dog fighting (i.e. dog vs. dog), I had not heard that he had his dogs attack HUMANS. And yet YOU say it happened.
That is CERTAINLY a new twist to the story.
Please tell me more.
The issue here wasn’t that the dogs “lost their lives”, but that they were tortured in the process (and also, apparently, that other people’s pets were stolen or acquired under false pretenses, and used as bait for the fighting dogs). It’s perfectly legal to have an unwanted pet euthanized, just as it’s perfectly legal to humanely kill a food animal. But that’s not what happened here.
As one black lady said as she slapped a police officer sitting in his car, "You can't arrest me, Barack Obama is President!"
The pit bull bashers will be by any minute to blame the dogs for Vick’s troubles, since they apparently don’t believe in personal responsibility.
My cat tortures animals too. Is Mike Vick smarter than my cat?
LOL! Love it love! I am not a huge football fan but I laughed hard and was very happy to see the Falcons doing well with Matt Ryan. Vick is a joke and a thug.
I see your point, but I'm sure the porkchop that I'm going to eat tonight did not come from a pig that spent its last moments alive having to fight for life in a vicious, painful, terrifying struggle. And that hog is being used for food, not for mere sport.
Vick is scum. While I don’t wish for him to rot in hell, or no one for that matter, I do hope he serves his full sentence out.
Wow. Tough question.

Some people don’t get it. Some, like you, take pride in not getting it.
True, but some owner, like Jerry Jones will hire him and the fans will cheer him again for winning games.
There is a difference in killing animals for food, or even exterminating vermin and killing pets. I probably could not work in a slaughterhouse, but I have no problem with being higher up the food chain than animals who are bred for food. I also do not weep for mosquitoes and cockroaches and rats and mice that I may kill, but I would not torture the vermin before I exterminated them.
However, only an evil person would take delight in torturing pets and putting them to death. He apparently included family pets with the pit bulls as well. But the fact that he enjoyed torturing and killing animals over whom he has absolute power marks him as evil and despicable scum. He will never "learn his lesson". He is simply evil. If I were God, he'd rot in hell.
Is there any truth to the rumor that he’s being considered for Agriculture as an expert on breeding?
Your cat is just practicing skills it would need to survive if you stopped filling its food bowl every day. Female cats, in particular, often tend to disable prey and “play” with it for a while, rather than quickly kill it — this is because they’re programmed to teach their young to hunt by starting with partially disabled prey. And, no, Mike Vick is not smarter than your cat (or any cat).
