The human mind can be mystifying in its capacity to accommodate both disability and genius in the same person, as 60 Minutes found in a little boy named Rex.
Rex was born blind, with brain damage so severe it looked as though he would never walk, talk, or do much of anything. And yet he has a talent few of us can imagine. To understand Rexs brain would be to unlock mysteries of language, memory, and music.
Correspondent Lesley Stahl has followed Rex and his mother, Cathleen, for several years now; she first met them in 2003.
How about that. God makes another human being who seemed "useless" until he was allowed to live long enough to become a musical prodigy. Blind, autistic, and brilliant. Abortion is the sacrifice of the possible to the god of convenience.

That would require me to do two things I don’t like. Turn to CBS and watch 60 minutes.
I’m not a lover of 60 Minutes (Scott Pelley is a lib-progressive megaphone), but I tuned in tonight to see their “story” on widow immigration. This is the first tiem I’ve seen Rex and am in love. He’s a true gift!
What a testimony he is to pro-life. Feminists for Life or another group should show Rex’s story.
Amazing. Thanks for the link. Every person has a special gift and a unique talent.
CBS and 60 Minutes can go to hell.
Um, yes, I know. The irony of them broadcasting a story which directly contradicts the abortion narrative is, however, worth noting.
No irony. They're airing this story after the election.
Irony or not, the dipsticks at 60 min/cBS are too stupid to even faintly see the irony. They’re empty headed idiots...sans savant.
And even if someone is completely “useless” - in the eyes of the world - each individual is a spark from God, worthy of love in His eyes.
Unbelievable......thanks for. the link
