SAN ANTONIO (AP) _ Mary Dague hears the catty whispers sometimes. "So ugly," the strangers say when they think she can't hear.
The 24-year-old has bright green eyes, a quick smile, and on the days she gets her husband's help, perfectly applied mascara and blush.
But all the gawkers really see are her arms, each amputated above the elbow.

Yes, but tears of pride, not sadness.
Anyone who wispers "so ugly" around her, ought to (1) Have their head examined and (2) Be horsewhipped and run out of town on a rail, after being tarred and feathered, or stuck on a fire ant pile..maybe both.
Give her faith, courage and love, Lord God.

I’m at a loss for words when I hear about vets that gave far more than most, But are still out there.
May God show, in trying times, to you, that you are worth more than Sterling, worth more than any earthly treasue. To folks like us, we are in AWE of your bravery and commitment. To the Hubby, you take care of this lady, She’s better than most people that I have ever even heard of. God bless you guys and your family. I would wish to offer a suggestion for prayer at this Thanks Giving, but I do not feel right to suggest anything to you, When you, dear lady, in the presence, or even making that prayer, I’m sure that no person there will forget it, to your family it marks the first Holiday you came back unto them.

I would think a right upper cut to the jaw followed by a prolonged and vigorous application of a size 10-1/2 steel toe boot to the supine body would be about right. with special and repeated attention to the gonads.

I was thinking "unfortunate accident", such as falling into oncoming traffic.
You would think the only whispers she hears would be expressions of pity. I wonder if she is so self-conscious she thinks she hears “so ugly”? Or does she really work with such low-lifes?

Even without the military story, who would make remarks about a woman with no arms? The human race is turning to trash. If she had lost them in a car accident or was born without them, would it still be OK to make fun of her? I just don’t get people.
The real “ugly” is in those who make such a comment, whether they knew how she lost her arms or not.

The human race has always been trash, but parts of it have tried to mitigate the problem throughout history; most of the planet has finally passed the point where true kindness and nobility matter enough to even fake it. My guess is that these people would ridicule anyone who was "different" for whatever reason, but those among them who were in thrall with the left would of course feel morally justified in soldier bashing.
