Rep. Jerrold Nadler, D-New York and chairman of the House Judiciary Subcommittee on the Constitution, Civil Rights, and Civil Liberties, has authored a resolution demanding that President Bush refrain from issuing pre-emptive pardons of senior officials in his administration during the final 90 days of office.
The resolution, Nadler says, is in response to Bushs widespread abuses of power and potentially criminal transgressions against our Constitution.
The goal, he says, is to prevent undeserved pardons of officials who may have been co-conspirators in the presidents unconstitutional policies, such as torture, illegal surveillance and curtailing of due process for defendants.
This resolution declares that we will not tolerate a last minute attempt by President Bush to shelter his cronies - cronies who may well be guilty of serious criminal offenses - from the full force of the law, says Nadler
The same “defendants” who blew up 3000 people in your congressional district, Jare?
Have another cheeseburger, you fat moron.
Regarding the Bent One’s pardons in the last 90 days of his presidency, Mr. Nadler has absolutely nothing to say.
Where where were you eight years ago when Billy Blob Slick did his thing?
This was to be expected from the party of the Clintons and their pardoning of international criminals and terrorists....
But it was OK for Clinton to pardon fugitives from justice (Mark Rich) and terrorists...
My response: EAT SH!T.
My personal wish: President Bush pardons himself and his admin from all frivolous, wasteful, hateful BS that the left will continue to cook up.
And yes, this includes the last minute Clinton pardons too.
Its constitutional,,, its absolute,, pass all the resolutions you want Nadler.
I hope Bush has the backbone to issue the pardons. The dems made it necessary with their prosecution rhetoric.
Even if he does, they will be tried overseas within 20 years.
Just watch.
Obamy, or one in the future even worse, (a current 29 year old say,,),will sign international criminal court treaty,, then will cooperate with capturing Bush, with solumn words about lettting the system work,,, nobody above the law,,
Oh, go snort another box of Krispy Kremes, you disgusting slob.
Cant pardon until indicted and convicted. Therefore, cant pardon himself.
Do pols like this understand separation of power and pretend it doesn’t exist or are they so dumb they don’t understand it?
It was also in the president’s power to fire all the assistant AGs. Look what those morons in conjunction with the MSM did with that. Why do these people hate the document that made us great so much?
So what does Nadler have to say about O’s selection of Eric Holder as AG? Holder and Bubba pardoned terrorists, among others.
This putz is too stupid to understand that. Not that he’s any stupider than most politicians, though.

hey nadler, you forgot to wipe up, a bit of barney frank is still dripping.
Cant pardon until indicted and convicted. Therefore, cant pardon himself.Nonsense!
"The President . . . shall have Power to grant Reprieves and Pardons for Offences against the United States, except in Cases of Impeachment."
(Article II, Section 2, Clause 1)
Justice Stephen Field wrote in Ex parte Garland (1867), "If granted before conviction, it prevents any of the penalties and disabilities consequent upon conviction from attaching [thereto]; if granted after conviction, it removes the penalties and disabilities, and restores him to all his civil rights; it makes him, as it were, a new man, and gives him a new credit and capacity . A pardon reaches both the punishment prescribed for the offence and the guilt of the offender so that in the eye of the law the offender is as innocent as if he had never committed the offence."
According to United States v. Klein (1871), Congress cannot limit the President's grant of an amnesty or pardon.
