ANCHORAGE, Alaska (AP) -- Oprah wants her, and so do Letterman and Leno. Fresh from her political defeat, Sarah Palin is juggling offers to write books, appear in films and sit on dozens of interview couches at a rate that would be astonishing for most Hollywood stars, let alone a first-term governor.

I agree. But I’m confident that unfettered by the McCain campaign staff she’ll handle it well.

All they would want her to talk about now is a 'what went wrong' hoping to make her look bad. The word is GLOAT and they wrote the book.

I got the impression from Sarah’s appearance on SNL that she did it only because of the campaign and in any other circumstance, she wouldn’t have considered it. Just my take. And without the McCain psycho-phants to “manage” her, I believe she will make the right decision about any publicity offers.

The media absolutely hate her, and the offers are only made grudgingly because of ratings. It doesn’t mean that suddenly they like her — they never will.

And Lizaveta, pretty sure I supported her because she's a conservative more qualified then any of the other three of the ticket to be President due to her executive experience, intelligence and instinctual conservative common sense. You speak for no one but yourself.

I didn't say she wasn't more qualified than the other three. In terms of her conservative viewpoint, she is. In terms of her knowledge and experience, she's not. She was culled too soon.

And I only speak for myself? Everyone agrees with you? Please.

If she didn’t garner ratings, the media wouldn’t care about her. She would be a flunky Governor from Alaska to them. The media doesn’t like her for her politics, they like her because she garners ratings. Look at her ratings for the debate, Hannity, Greta, Couric and Gibson - huge numbers.

At least I work an honest days wage.

Serving up Happy Meals, no doubt.

The English has no adjectives, or any other language construct, sufficient to adequately describe the depths of ignorance and pettiness displayed by the simpleton that takes offense at a Governor answering the call to duty when her nation needed her; and then later performing a ceremonial function as a regular part of her job.

I like that Irish guy who’s on later than Leno and Letterman.

That would be Craig Ferguson, and he's a Scotsman!

(and a great American)

Disagree, she is the Governor of Alaska, the only reason why she should go on Oprah, or make the circuit of Chatterheads, is if it benefits the People of Alaska.

People first and all that, now if the Legislature is out of session or something....

You sound clueless about the problems that Alaskans face. You need to get out of California and see the rest of the US once in a while.

Thanks, that’s why I usually stay away from these contentious threads. Sometimes I can’t help myself.

I agree, I never watch Oprah (or the view) because I think they are the most stupid terrible shows there are. I can’t believe that women I would consider sane would watch such crap. The only reason i would watch those shows is if I became bulimic.

Well run government should NOT look like an emergency room. A government that runs well should only need little corrections,, Not the draconian crisis to crisis that our federal government is.

In truth,, the 3am phone call is a silly concept. Perpetuates the myth that the president leaps up,, grabs a world map, and calls each aircraft carrier by satellite phone.

A Governor probably has little to do until the legislature is in session.

Yes, but that is what is so great about Sarah. She will finally be able to be herself to an audience that has been brainwashed for Obama. What is the worst thing that can happen? They actually start to like her??

Governor Palin had more experience than Obama! You say the Republican party should put forth a “REAL” conservative, and here you are insulting Governor Palin. I believe that Sarah Palin has the right stuff, and a bright future ahead of her. She IS a real conservative.

I didn't say Obamalamadingdong had more experience than her. I didn't compare her experience to anybody else. I just said she wasn't ready NOW.

Insulting her? Like people who question Obama are "insulting" him? Get a grip. You sound like the Kos idiots.

Yes, she has the right stuff. Yes, she has a future ahead of her. My point was that NOW was not her time.

Go ahead Sarah, appear on Oprah and anywhere else.

Read the thread responses again - you don't get it.

This is the MSM's way of marginalizing Palin by overexposing her. She makes these talk-show rounds in 2012 the same media is going to bring them up and say that she was too busy being a celebrity to attend to her state! It's a classic damning by faint praise tactic from the media. Palin should NOT go on any of these shows, she should firmly state that her duties as Governor is keeping her occupied.
