The Washington Times ^ | November 21, 2008 | Wesley Pruden

Posted on 11/21/2008 3:24:00 AM PST by Puzzleman

Turn up the heat, somebody. The globe is freezing. Even Al Gore is looking for an extra blanket. Winter has barely come to the northern latitudes and already we've got bigger goosebumps than usual. So far the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) reports 63 record snowfalls in the United States, 115 lowest-ever temperatures for the month. Only 44 Octobers over the past 114 years have been cooler than this last one...

One small silver lining to McCain’s loss is that he won’t be the one trying to defend the ridiculous.

TRUE, BUT the Obamanites idiotic master plan is to make coal so expensive that it will break the companies who try to use it.... I’m sure he meant any new plants BUT his master plan is to push AMERIKA toward solar, wind, hydro. He has NO IDEA the real costs of using these “free” fuel energy sources will really cost.

Remember, this NITWIT is a social worker with a law degree. He really is so ignorant that he will sign Kyoto (if he could), he really will confiscate our 401K/IRA’s for the gov’t and he really will make illegal aliens citizens to give our retirement saving to.

That is if the Democrat controlled congress lets him. It will HOPEFULLY be fun to watch Pellosi loose control of the Socialist/Marxist agenda. Otherwise can you say GREAT DEPRESSION REVISITED?

well. if they truly are able to hide the cost of this fantasy, it’s over; but I think people can still wake up to the fact that they’re being robbed. They turned down a school referendum that raised taxes in Princeton, NJ, last Spring for instance, and that certainly would fly in the face of “good people doing the right thing.”

That's a fairly unimpressive statistic. Somewhere in the middle third.

To put my position another way... Global Warming is like The Homeless.

It is a nicely fuzzy issue that is impossible to prove or disprove. When a Republican is in charge, it is a wonderful thing to bash them over the head with, because it is a problem they cannot solve, if it ever existed in the first place.

However, when Democrats are in charge, the need to bash them is gone, so the problem disappears. It's not like 3.1 Million Homeless People all of a sudden found places to live the day Bill Clinton was sworn in, but you would have thought they had if all you did was read the New York Times.

Global Warming will be the same way. The Donks were elected. It has served it's purpose. It is time to forget it until the next time Republicans are in charge.

Seriously, the belief in global warming is totally irrational, and if they have to dig it out from under 4 ft of snow (like just about everything when I lived in Ithaca) they will blame the snow on global warming and keep on going.

Yep, and that provides undeniable proof of the stupidity of the AGW cult followers. They can't see it's cold because the snow keeps getting in the way.....

But I have great confidence that they will be able to look them in the eye and say “I don’t know you”

These are not the watermelons I knew.

It's 9 degrees outside in Minneapolis, and I have to bike to work.

Me to. Except I don't necessarily have to. Two fine cars stand in the garage retaining their value and the gas in their tanks. As long as you have $300 Lake boots and lobster gloves, no problem; other than all the laundry that gets produced. Time to saddle up and enjoy the fresh air.

Nice analogy. I hope you're right.

If you've noticed, the envirofascists are no longer using the term "global warming", they have switched to "climate change".

That way, any change, colder or hotter, can be blamed on the capitalist polluters.

Obama has already proclaimed that global climate change is the number one priority in the world, so bend over, here it comes.

“Even Letterman joked about it last night. “Yeah, global warming (eyes roll), thanks Al Gore.”

See now, this is a just the problem. We quite taking antibiotics when we feel better, and just when our efforts, in combating global warming, begin to show results we return to the same destructive behavior. Be forewarned, IT WILL BEGIN TO WARM AGAIN, if you keep this up.

Our normal highs here in Alabama for our region is 63 degrees. The average low is 42.

The last five nights have been below freezing, with a 22, 23, and 29 twice. The low tonight is suppose to be NINETEEN!!!! Tomorrow predicted at 22, and Sunday night at 24. WHERE IS THE GLOBAL WARMING IN THE SUNNY AND WARM SOUTH MR. ALGORE??????????????? Oh, right, I forgot. Global Warming or their new buzz word because "warming" does not fit, is Climate Change. Then they can blame the record cold on the climate change caused BY GLOBAL WARMING!!! Idiots. Half of the North American Continent was covered by the ice age at one time. The darn cave men were not driving around in their SUV's and having bonfires to cause pollution to melt all that ice.

Yes indeedy. Happiness can be found around my hacienda by looking out the window and peering over a full firewood crib for this year (and the next)....
