A case that challenges President-elect Barack Obama's name on the 2008 election ballot citing questions over his citizenship has been scheduled for a "conference" at the U.S. Supreme Court.
Conferences are private meetings of the justices at which they review cases and decide which ones to accept for formal review.
This case is set for a conference Dec. 5, just 10 days before the Electoral College is scheduled to meet to make formal the election of Obama as the nation's next president.
The Supreme Court's website listed the date for the case brought by Leo C. Donofrio against Nina Wells, the secretary of state in New Jersey, over not only Obama's name on the 2008 election ballot but those of two others, Sen. John McCain and Roger Calero.

The case also raises the circumstances of Obama’s time during his youth in Indonesia, where he was listed as having Indonesian citizenship. Indonesia does not allow dual citizenship, raising the possibility of Obama’s mother having given up his U.S. citizenship.
Any subsequent U.S. citizenship then, the case claims, would be “naturalized,” not “natural-born.”
That’s assuming he went through the naturalization process. If not he is still a citizen of Indonesia.
so case (a) he’s British or Kenyan, case (b) he’s Indonesian, and case (c) there is a real full birth certificate in Hawaii stating he was born in Hawaii.
if (c) why not just release it and put an end to the rumors? that is what i don’t understand — i was a doubter until we got to the election with no release of info. i thought he was just hanging on til the last minute to make the questioners look stupid. now i’m curious too.

I’m pretty much where you are kpp_kpp. Just release it if you have it! If it were me and I’d just been elected and had this huge, very ambitious plan to “change” the U.S. I wouldn’t want anything to detract from that & I’d just release the thing.
That said I can only believe it’s his arrogance that’s causing his original birth certificate to be withheld. I think 0bama thinks he doesn’t have to answer to anyone. He thinks he’s better than everyone else and I believe, due to the lack of vetting and the fawning admiration of the 0bamamedia, he thinks he can get away with doing whatever he wants and ignoring what he doesn’t think is important.
JMHO, but it’s just one more example of how he doesn’t have to follow the same rules as everyone else.

Release the document and prove he is a citizen and let's go after his Ideologies. If he is not a citizen, and his staff and most of the Dems knew he was not a citizen, then the Democrats are guilty of a “Coup d'etat”.... if Obama is not an American Born Citizen..then we have a Constitutional Crisis on our hands.
If this comes down to this man not being a natural born citizen, this is serious business folks. Most of all, why did the Democrat Party file a counter claim that Berg did not have standing? Why not show the LONG FORM BIRTH CERTIFICATE to clarify any problems? Why continue to hide the BIRTH CERTIFICATE? Exactly what is the problem?

Could you imagine what would happen if this was actually taken up as a case and if they HAD to rule against obama. The moonbats would go ballistic ... and the Supremes don't want that to happen.
It's going to conference, so I'd say there is a good chance of it being taken up sionce there is a serious constitutional question involved. Even if it doesn't go forward, expect at least three justices to issue opinions addressing why it should be heard. Those will get widespread notice.
If it is heard, expect a 9-0 decision against Obama if he cannot establish that he is a natural born citizen. The constitution is very clear.

What if they won't take it up, because the Constitution is clear and there is no "constitutional question?" And if he can't prove he's natural born, maybe they don't want to put their power to the test. If they say he may not be POTUS, how are they going to enforce their ruling? And if they can't, do they want THAT precedent?
I just got a letter from the Maine dmv yesterday. In order to renew my drivers license I MUST show a birth certificate or I will be denied. This is a new law to stop illegals from getting licenses. Shame the nation doesn’t have a similar rule for elections.
The Supreme Court (probably any court) has the right to ask the FBI/CIA etc. for any information relevant information they may have. With his associations, he is just the sort of person who would be on their radar.
