Buena Park Pastor says Obama was born in Kenya and can not be sworn in as President
President-Elect Barack Obama says he was born in Honolulu, Hawaii. Obama provided a birth certificate to prove it, but a Buena Park pastor says Obama is not telling the truth.
The Orange County Register reports that Rev. Wiley Drake, who ran for vice president on the American Independent ticket, filed a lawsuit claiming "Obama has not provided sufficient proof he is a U.S. citizen, and asks that Secretary of State Debra Bowen not certify California's election results until he provides more concrete evidence.
NBC in Los Angeles reported this? I hope that the reporter doesn’t need a bodyguard to come into the newsroom to pickup his final paycheck? When the Democrats hear that one of their affiliate stations reported this, they’ll be on the war path!

It would be pretty hard for a judge to plausibly argue that a vice-presidential candidate does not have “standing” to challenge the credentials of another candidate.
Excellent points. It sure does seem like he thinks he has gotten away with it. He is the most arrogant-acting president (elect) I have seen in my lifetime bar none. I am going to pray this brings him down. It would be such a fitting slap to the face to the media, and his supporters who would have no one but the media to blame. My parents voted for 0bama and had no idea he knew Ayers because they were fed pro-0bama crap by CNN.
Whew...it's good to know that two websites have declared it authentic and genuine. Get's rid of that pesky Constitutional and congressional oversight thingy.
Hey Jim, how about having your website declare it as "non-authentic" and "not genuine"? I mean if that's all it takes to determine validity for the office of the Presidency.

I presume that if Obama were to be elected that Electors pledged to vote for him would be freed to vote for another name on the Presidential ballot. McCain would probably be that choice, but it could theoretically be any of the others on the ballot in their state.

Maybe Acting President Biden would spend his entire term demanding the Obamabot zombie army push thru a Constitutional amendment or con-con to push Obama into office. Could get ugly.
Fortunately they can't. Obama can't make appointments until he is actually in office and not merely the President-presumptive (not even President-elect until the EC votes are counted). For Hillary to be inserted into the succession before Obama takes Office she would have to replace an existing Bush cabinet member. But I don't put it past the Socialist Mafia to try something. There are already idiots trying to evict Bush. All Obama's appointments are probably going to be confirmed the first instant the Senate can legally vote on it so as to hit the ground running (trampling).
A president dying in office is not a coup.
He needs to receive a majority of the Electoral Votes cast, so I think that if 0's votes are disqualified, McCain might get a majority. If 0's votes are counted even though he is not eligible, then the election passes to the House because "nobody" received a majority. If there are enough faithless electors that vote for someone else - McCain, Biden, Clinton, Mickey Mouse - we could get anybody, but I doubt they would dare since that would put the blame for 0 being ousted directly on the Rat party to the perception of the voters.
The Electors are not Constitutionally constrained to vote for any particular candidate. They can vote for anyone they want. Some states have Faithless Elector laws, but no one has ever been punished to my knowledge. There have been numerous occurrences of an Elector voting for someone other than the candidate to which they were pledged but it has never affected the outcome of an election. If 0 is disqualified prior to the EC vote then I would expect them to attempt to follow the perceived intent of the voters and switch to Biden as 0's legitimate successor, but they can vote for anyone at all. There won't be a redo as there is no Constitutional mechanism for it and there is a Constitutional remedy for an unqualified candidate. There is some flex in the Constitution that might allow a new election once all the explicit remedies have been tried, but that is the last resort and would require the SCOTUS to "reach" a bit, IMO.
It’s got a lot of grey in it to be sure. I think that I passed along some bad information earlier in the thread where I said that GWB could continue in office under certain circumstances if Obama were to be DQ’ed. I’m now not sure that’s so. It may well be that the presidential succession laws kick-in when his term expires. I’m sure if any of this were to happen then it would be challenged legally.
