To my friend Kathleen Parker This act is getting really old.
As Republicans sort out the reasons for their defeat, they likely will overlook or dismiss the gorilla in the pulpit.
Three little letters, great big problem: G-O-D.
I'm bathing in holy water as I type.
I agree, but what I meant was that God is on both sides, he would not abandon human beings because of politics, and will be in punishment mode.
Liberals are not godless. Their politicians are their gods, and like you,I believe GOD will punish all of us for what the "godless" are about to do.
It was a big mistake for GOD people to have stayed home in this election. VERY BIG. For that GOD will punish ALL of us.
Kathleen seems to have no knowledge of the Founding Fathers.shalom b'SHEM Yah'shua HaMashiach AdonaiShe seems to be totally ignorant of the purpose of this Republic.
We have staked the whole future of AmericanHuckabee was asked to leave the Baptist conference
civilization, not upon the power of government,
far from it.
Weve staked the future of all our political
institutions upon our capacity
to sustain ourselves according to the Ten Commandments of God.[1778 to the General Assembly of the State of Virginia]
James Madison
as he was way too liberal with other people's money.
How can they in good conscience STILL vote Democratic?
there is a schism between what they believe and how they vote.

Unfortunately, there are many Christians who see their lives as a dichotomy, rather than view this a schism. They go to church for one thing. They live life for another. And, they don’t often contemplate the nexus in between. In fact, I’ve heard a number of people lately talk about not wanting to hear a preacher talk politics from the pulpit.
I understand the 503(c) implications of doing so (unless you’re a blaspheming racist from Chicago), but it seems very illogical to attempt political decisions without your moral framework even in the room with you.
Yet, that is - sadly - what many Christians are doing...operating from ignorance. Christianity, rather than a crutch for the weak, is a very tough thing to try to live consistently.
Nope...Democrats ran youth& hope. Republicans spent the primaries killing each other...begrudgingly got a candidate...failed to get behind him 100%...and it showed. We GAVE all the amunition to the press!
The question is how to fix it.
Thoughtful, moral, (and not necessarily religious) capitalist people should be able to unite behind someone who meets most of our needs. McCain has an 80% conservative rating and we still trash him.
The search for perfection makes for a
VERY small voting group.
He is exasperated as the USA descends into the grip of fascism. Few know it yet.
His book reference is up thread.
Cheers!
we agree!
I wrote a note to head girlie boy asking why we can’t post comments on NR.
On one Sunday show McCain was on during the Dem primaries, he was asked if Hllary or Obama would be good Presidents. He said both would be fine presidents. I thought at the time - and still think and say it - than why should anyone vote for you? And he never answered that question.
What is Parker trying to gain from this? No conservative is going to take her seriously anymore, and now that the Left has won, she’ll still be treated as the enemy until they need her and the RINOs for the next election. I just can’t understand why conservatives want to continuously reach out to a mythical, media-fabricated segment of voters that in the end won’t vote Republican anyway.
but parker is against Palin. huckananny wasn’t on the ballot
Point out a specific example (not Dobson). I do believe you have constructed a strawman. I just don't understand why.
Very good and should never be forgotten.
scot, Kathleen was calling us religious people nazis.
You are correct. Although I am Catholic, I can make a logical argument in support of every conservative principle without resorting to Bible quotes or even religious references.
Sure, but I'm starting to think that religious conservatives in the party can't have it any other way.
They all seem to think the Republican party is their Church. And they've now got to kick out the apostates and infidels.
Who is defending Parker?
Fact is, we let the MSM portray Republicans as Bible-thumping luddites, which does alienate people, including many religious people.
We have to shed that IMAGE, while holding our core values.
It’s a difficult task.
Thank you, for the response.
Christianity is the rock upon which we stand. If there were no truth then all is lost.
The foundation of our belief system is the guiding principle for our very lives. It is the omission from the pulpits of this reality, that has resulted in the adopting of worldly concerns resulting in the watering down of God's truth, light, Scripture. A moving away from the ROCK on which we stand.
In the name of attracting, entertaining the members of the congregation, the message is anecdotal, and feel good suggestions to include in our daily lives.
Christians that in earlier times died for this truth, now avoid discussing it at all or treat it casually.
Me too. Shame .
Have mercy on us Father for we ‘know not what we do’. Without You we ‘can do nothing’. Forgive us and lead us on Your paths of righteousness. Humbly I pray Father. In our Lord Jesus name I ask this.knowing that You hear me always. Amen.
