Disturbing that 4 justices chose to disregard the 2nd amendment.

The last remaining plaintiff lost the case on a basic “doesn’t belong to a militia” argument.

I still think this is the true purpose of Obama's brownshirts (so-call civilian security force). Clearly define a "militia" and then deny all private gun ownership. I don't think for second that the nullification of the 2nd isn't on the Demons' mind over the next 4 years.

If it wasn’t for Bush appointing two Supreme Court Justices, we would have lost Heller. The NRA was correct in not being enthusiastic at the time.

A couple of corrections in the article...

First is that on the issue of the 2nd being an individual right, all nine Justices agreed. The 5-4 split was on the Constitutionality of the DC laws. This is something that the anti’s DON’T want to acknowledge.

Second, Dick Heller was one of the original conceptualists in the case. The idea for this case goes back to 1993 and was put forth by Mr. Heller and his friend Dane Von Briechenrucheirdt. (Forgive the butchering of Dane’s last name)

Third, the activist persona around Mr. Heller is a media myth. He wasn’t really an activist at all until this case.

Good information in the article but the author should have spoken to Mr. Heller. He is a wonderful person and very down to earth. When Fenty played his stupid games (and continues to do so), he unleashed a dragon in his midst. Heller ain’t even begun yet.

In 15 years a small group of libertarians did more to advance the cause of RKBA than the GOP or NRA did in 50 years. Who’d have thought it possible...
