Republicans --You Can't Say I Didn't Warn You

What has been made absolutely clear in this election is that the Republican Party has an abundance of class acts when what it really needs are hard core community organizers.

On Tuesday, my Democrat neighborhood was inundated with canvassers leaving posters of Democrat candidates and offering assistance to get to the poll. I have never seen a Republican do the same but then I've always lived in the poorer part of town.

FR might be a good place to chew the fat.

But it is vital that anyone who values the future of America must hit the 'streets' with the same energy (if not more) that the lefty class warfare globalists did in the 2008 election.

I door-knocked 1000 homes the past four months, and plan to double that in the first half of 2009.

THAT, and the addition of younger, better speaking, dynamic conservative leadership in the GOP should eventually help counter the coming 'era of Obama'.

No more 'elder statesmen'... no more 'my turn' candidates. It's time for young charasmatic candidates who truly believe in the JudeoChristian conservative values which have made the US the best country in history.

Until the 'Establishment' of the RNC changes, you will be fighting a much better funded, much better organized system designed to make you fail.

The RNC will NOT learn the lesson of Nov 4th. All we will get is re-hash, and RINOS for 'leadership'.

I applaud your efforts, but you have to win the hearts and minds at an earlier age of students to the conservative cause. It won't happen in Public Schools until you reform the way education is laid out in this country.

I don’t think having an 11th hour Obamatron show up at your door (or a McCainiac) will make a difference. Kool-Aid drinking Obamamutant rang my bell with his 9 year old daughter in tow wearing about 10 Obama pins. I ignored him and asked her if knew how lucky she was that her Daddy hadn’t had her aborted..........I think the guy almost fainted!

Most Republicans work for a living in positions in which they cannot take time off to campaign. A lot of Democrats are professional community organizers, or are in positions in which they can take time off to campaign. Often they are union members, whose employers are bullied into giving them paid time off to campaign. Even Republican union members are forced to take time off to campaign for Democrats.

What I’d like to see is a return to the policy of prohibiting anyone who gets a government paycheck (nonelected positions) or gets a government subsidized paycheck is prohibited from getting involved in politics. It is a conflict of interest for them to campaign for candidates or run for office.

It won’t happen because the GOP has no guts.

But, then, the GOP hasn’t show itself to favor smaller government, so, who cares if they get can get elected?

I have addressed this before.

Republicans are overwhelmed with their daily responsibilities to family and work.

Republicans are the major engine of our economic strength.

They barely have five minutes to give time and attention to politics.

Democrats can field armies of loafers waiting for government hand-outs.

If you go out into the streets as a conservative with the conservative message, you are asking people to take responsibility for their own lives and accept the consequences of their moral choices.

You are telling people to stop looking to the government for hand-outs of "goodies".

Your message is the hard sell because BOTH major parties have already ceded the point: government is your daddy.

The lure of the left is NO MATTER WHAT BAD PERSONAL CHOICES YOU MAKE, UNCLE SAM WILL BAIL YOU OUT!

I agree. And the groups that are already in place that I’ve physically dealt with have to be dragged. Put solutions in their laps and they sit there.

Out with all of them. We need to wash our hands of the dead would and build up the new:

http://falconparty.com/

Also, out with the MSM. They are also dead wood. We need to take the new media outlets, Blogs, Independents, Satellite Radio and build them up.

The less support we give the current system, the faster we can get rid of it.

The only problem with what you said is it’s not up to the Daddy. It’s the decision of the mommy - no matter what the daddy wants.

” I ignored him and asked her if knew how lucky she was that her Daddy hadn’t had her aborted..........I think the guy almost fainted!”

OMG!!!

I wish you had that on video!

I’m having a hard time believing knocking on doors accomplishes much except irritating people who don’t want to be bothered.
Otherwise, we’d be a nation where everyone was a mormon or a jehovah witness with hoover vacuums and amway toilet paper.

If Americans are that uninformed and politically ignorant that they must be inundated by campaign groupies to sway their vote then it’s already too late. We are paying a high price because of an uneducated, uninterested electorate and it’s only getting worse.

You have made a case of Republicans getting the governemnt that they deserve.

Apathy towards government and politics means that when the music stops they’re left without a chair.

That’s not true. Statistics revealed that something like 67% of Dem voters had been contacted by campaign workers (including paid canvassers) before the election. By contrast, only about 34% of GOP voters had been contacted by somebody from the McCain campaign. Personal contact with voters does help get out the vote.

The Republicans don't need to knock on any more doors. All they need is ACORN to back them and they will get new member like Mickey and Minnie mouse..or any felon in prison along with thousands of dead people...ACORN is the success story when it comes to Democrats voting..Oh I forgot about the black panthers with their billy clubs at voting post..

As far as I am concerned the election should have been held off until ACORNS new voters were thrown out of the ballet box..

Democrats can field armies of loafers waiting for government hand-outs.

And next election cycle, they'll have their new Civilian Security Corps at their disposal, probably doing a new door-to-door vote-taking in heavy D areas.

I do think the Republican party has a tremendous opportunity to experience a “rebirth” - but that means they have to undergo an extensive “makeover” first. I agree with the poster that said “no more old guys” We have got to change - or the party is dead.

I think it would be a good idea to try to reach disadvantaged youth - the ones that democrats already pander to. Why can’t the Republicans sponsor youth events, parties, celebrations & have role models (sports figures, etc) that can talk to the young people about taking personal responsibility & working hard to overcome the bad hand that life has dealt them?

It is a hard sell to preach working hard versus sitting on a couch collecting a check - but I do believe that if the message were properly presented, we could get some converts. I think that the Republican party has come up short in these areas. A flaming liberal I know spends election day driving people in low-income areas to the polls - guess who she’s talking them into voting for? The nice people that pay attention to them - not the mean party of rich people that ignore them.

It won’t be easy, but we do need to infiltrate low income neighborhoods via “community organizing”, we need to infiltrate the entertainment world with influential role models. We need to change our approach when it comes to dealing with the MSM - not try to take them on combatively, but just ignore them & get our message out there in other, more creative ways.

The party needs to completely overhaul itself & launch an agressive campaign “marketing” the benefits of conservatism - to everyone - not just us.

In the old days I fought for ideals. These days I fight to win. Find me a winner and I might get excited. Sarah Palin is not that winner — not yet.

The saddest commentary on the apathy in these United States is that out of the 305,676,245 estimated population, only 124,398,550 actually voted. 40.7%. Roughly 63,700,000 voted for their new messiah.

20.8% of the U.S. population voted in a socialist.

I wish I could say this is going to work! You see, a great majority of citizens who voted democratic are from other countries now naturalized.

Democratic promises to them are like winning a lottery. All they have to do is be here in this country and it will provide you everything!

I am sad to see that America has become like other countries, giving away to people who want it the easy way!

I have also seen that in the economic downturn, a lot of immigrant citizens are transferring their wealth to their home countries. This flexibility is not available to Americans who do not have any connections to other countries.

So America is losing at two fronts, free money to new citizens who are then transferring it to their native country.

My heart breaks for America, my country for the last 20 years.

I'm scheduled to speak to my county Republican organization with a proposal to start a 'volunteer recruitment committee' ... or something along those lines.

I plan to visit every township GOP committee in my county, and pick a point person from each group.

A 'message a month' I will propose, with fliers distributed by volunteers to all homes we can.

When I was young, I was a member of the 'Tar babies' .... Teen Age Republicans.

We went on ski trips, played basket ball, and had a blast.

THIS is what each and every person reading this should do in their own neck of the woods.

It will take time to be effective, but hey.... we got time, dont we??

Like I've said before, I once was part of the Teen Age Republicans... (affectionally known as the Tar Babies)

We had a blast, girls and guys, we went on outings, skiing, ball games.....

EACH person reading this should at least attempt to contact fellow volunteers in their local ??? conservative party, if not the Republican Party.

My county was flooded by MoveOn.nutjobs in October... the same as 2006.

We can either sit on FR and complain to each other, or we can get out there and fight.

I do both, but we need more people involved in the latter.
