The myth of Black conservatism
The Collins Report ^ | November 17th, 2008 | Kevin “Coach” Collins

Posted on 11/17/2008 5:16:29 AM PST by jmaroneps37

The election of Barack Hussein Obama, the first man of African decent elected President of the United States, will provide continuous changes for a very long time.

Gone now is the handy excuse many Blacks have used for refusing to act and speak like members of our American society. “It’s not worth my even trying because ‘the man’ will never let me get ahead” died on Nov 4, 2008. ‘The man’ actually elected a Black Commander in Chief, so demanding Ebonics as the price for school attendance is over.

The days of Black self imposed isolation from American society are over. The winds of truth can now enter the public arena and sweep it clean. The next change we need is the debunking of the fantasy liberal columnist Leonard Pitts recently cited when he referred to the myth of Black conservatism. When Pitts lamented that his fellow Blacks voted against Gay marriage he referenced the “ …. . deep strain of social conservatism that runs through the black electorate.”

Nothing could be more wrong. Saying Blacks are conservative is silly.

I don’t wish to single out Blacks or anyone else, but the truth is Pitts is lying and he knows it.

As a group Blacks have: the highest rate of out-of-wedlock births; imprisonment; abortions; high school dropouts; just voted 96% liberal Democrat; and the lowest rate of enlistment in our military. This is simply not conservative behavior.

This myth ends here and now.

It is not a crime for Blacks to be liberals but that’s how Blacks live; that’s how Blacks vote.

Pitts thinks just voting “No” on Gay marriage makes Blacks conservatives, but one conservative vote changes nothing. Liberals are as liberals live.

Pitts has no understanding of conservatism and little understanding of his own people. Liberalism blinds one.

This election proved that Blacks are just another liberal group. They voted liberal Democrat higher than Jews did in 2000 when they had a Jewish VP to vote for. (80% to 96%) Blacks are a lost cause for us and our best bet is to continue to ignore them and concentrate on working with other groups. Look how difficult it was to get a clear cut "Yes" or "No" from J. C. Watts.

Independents and Hispanics seem like our best target groups.

The race hustlers will NEVER shut up or stop whining or stop demanding ebonics or change their behavior in any way. If every single elected official in the country was black, they would STILL not shut up. Maybe, just maybe, their sickening whining will find not quite so many receptive white ears as before. Maybe.

“It’s not worth my even trying because ‘the man’ will never let me get ahead”

Not only did NOT die it will get louder and more demanding. And it will be combined with "payback" as Hussein's new Civilian Homeland Security Force begins to take control of neighborhoods and towns.

....I agree...they’re only 13% of the population....far too much attention is paid to them.

Right. 13% of the population and 100% of the culture. Go figure.

What would happen (for example) if Americans put on the tv, went to a movie or listened to the radio and ONLY heard or saw Polish-Americans? Curiously!

Does anyone know how Bill Cosby votes? In spite of his positions on hip hop culture, he probably votes Democrat, too.

We did, however, have a bit of a pleasant surprise. A local Black business owner, of whom we are a good customer, told my wife that he can’t stand Obama, and that he voted for McCain.

Well, guess we will now see if Josh Howard and others who “don’t do that $h*%”(participate in the National Anthem type stuff) will now become patriotic.

My guess is no, because there still have been no reparations paid. Go back to the tape of Obama that was revealed during the campaign, in which he lamented that even the Warren Court had never addressed “economic justice”. Economic justice=reparations. What else could it mean? You can also know this is what he means by noting how he also talks about the “blind spot the framers had that continues to this day”. Obviously, the blind spot is slavery, and he put the emphasis on “continues to this day”.

Some people will never be satisfied until there is a wealth transfer that is specifically identified as a reparation for slavery.

There are many occasions when black Americans support conservative issues. The point is that in those situations, most are conservative for the “wrong” reasons, and this is a very important point.

When White, Hispanic and Asian conservatives are asked to explain why they support conservative issues, they tend to give similar answers for similar issues. But black Americans often come out of left field with reasons that perplex everyone else.

The consistency in the black opinion is that their reason for supporting any conservative issue has less to do with the issue itself, then some adjacent, often unrelated issue.

Now of course there is a percentage of black Americans who clearly understand and appreciate the underlying reasons that non-black conservatives support certain issues. But even they are often hard pressed, because while it is part of the issue, they really support the issue for another reason.

And the icing on the cake is the black American obsession with race, that permeates all aspects of their lives as the big topic for discussion, always a subtext to everything.

Most recently this was demonstrated by Howard Stern, who sent a reporter to Harlem. He started out by asking Obama supporters if they supported him because he was black, or because of the issues he advocated. They always said “issues, not race” was what mattered to them.

So then the reporter read off some of John McCain’s platform items, telling them that they were Obama’s issues, and asking them if they supported each of these particularly conservative Republican issues. They agreed to every one, no knowing anything about the issues at all.

Here is the audio. NSFW because of language.

Hispanics vote overwhelming Dem, have the second highest out of wedlock birtrates, actually have a higher school dropout rate than blacks, and are the Dems third most loyal constituency behind blacks and Jews.

The Republicans’ Hispanic Delusion

The Reps best targets are white, blue collar Dems and Asians.

I can see whites patting themselves on the back because they have purged themselves of their white guilt now. But I don’t see blacks deciding racial harmony has now broken out across the country. The question is, when black “leaders” continue to call for more affirmative action, reparations, higher welfare, etc as they try to leverage all that white guilt to get more goodies, will it still work or is it really purged? If enough whites in this country say “enough! everyone is responsible for their own lives and I don’t owe anyone anything for the sins of my great grandfather” than maybe we’ll start to make some progress. The silver lining of the otherwise very dark cloud of Obama winning?

Sorry America elected its first half-white president not its first black president.

The percentage of American blacks with 100% pure African genetics is rather small, but I see your point. More to the point, Obama was brought up in a white, middle-class household, and had little contact with black culture until he went to college.

Well, I think your case is rare. I think there are conservative blacks and there are liberal blacks, but they all voted for Obama.
