A modest proposal, that the glorious Chinese planners invest as much money and effort in a reliable product as in the means to shoot down the competition.

Looks like they ignored the basic concept you need to impose when buying Chinese electronics. If you want one to work, you need to buy at least two.

Your proposal is not modest, but too radical to be taken seriously.:-)

I wonder if it was the lead paint or the excess melamine that did it in...

of course, on the bright side, maybe those Nigerian banking emails will slow down.

The Chinese gov’t has so little regard for human life that promoting an unsafe automobile to their public would be seen as doing something for the common good.

The only way you can get them to change their ways is the threat of embarassment.

Their idea of reform is developing teflon-coated tank treads for easier cleaning after subsequent Tiananmen Square-type Strike Hard exercises.

That’s the problem with Chinese satellites. Once you launch one, and hour later you have to launch another one!................

For the Chinese military, it becomes a nice target to shoot out of the sky with their new laser weapon.

Not to sound like a dumba$$, but what is “a technological standard not meant for Africa but for Asia”? Maybe that ISO-900x isn’t all that international.
