I hate to be blunt, but so many Asians (East Indians, Koreans and Chinese) tell me that the GOP is essentially the "dumb white guy" party. They don't exactly view NASCAR nation favorably.

We should be winning Asians, business owners of all races, and suburbanites employed in the private sector. The fact that we are declining among all groups other than non-college educated rural white Christians should give everyone here cause for alarm.

I think we are winning among some asian voters, i.e., Japanese, Koreans, and Vietnamese primarily. We are losing among Indians and Pakistanis. Filipinos are a toss-up.

You are hopelessly naive.

The fact that we aren’t “winning the Asian voters” is but one more illustration of the truth that Euros are so hopelessly blind and optimistic that we still believe that EVERYone and ANYone can be persuaded to our political values if only we present our message to them in its best light.

If anything, the fact that Asians, too, are rejecting the GOP and the brand of “traditional American conservatism” only serves to underscore the hard truth that that paradigm of conservatism seems to appeal naturally to only one demographic group.
