Before the election, Howard Stern's Sirius radio show conducted interviews in Harlem, N.Y., in which the interviewer, not identified with the show, recited John McCain's economic proposals but portrayed them as Barack Obama's.
Not knowing whose ideas they actually were, these people raved and gave them their full support.
The election of Obama is an example of Americans voting against their own self interest. It's also further evidence of the dumbing down of America.
Trying to explain how our economy works and why lowering taxes is always better for them and America than imposing higher taxes is an economic bridge too far for many of the Obama sheep.
Unfortunately there is no See Spot and the Economy Run book. Many Americans can't balance a check book or spell e-c-o-n-o-m-i-c-s, but they sure know who will give them stuff. The lie is impossible.
Expecting them to have analyzed the tax positions of Obama and McCain and arrived at a decision that truly benefits them and America is wishful thinking.
The reason is that they know zilch about how the economy operates and worse they don't care. Obama will take care of us.

I’m looking for the source of the quote paraphrased as: “When the people find they can get their hand in the till (treasury) then Democracy will fail.”
I think they’ve found out.
Anybody know the source? And the original words.
I take it Ted is not interested in taking “A Journey to the Center of these people’s Minds.”
Agreed. Voting should be limited to people who actually pay income taxes, but we all know that would never fly
Amen to all of this, I heard that video and it made me ill. I have seen the “voter stupidity” in my own family, especially among the 20 and 30 somethings. When the entire country is on the government payroll who is going to support the government? Wake up people!
you got it dude!
Well considering there were no tax payers from the electorate it could be why they didn't see it. But not to throw the point out. The mistake is either, pass a civics test or show verification of employment. I dont think they ever saw the govt taking care of people either.
Wasn’t there a time when this nation was defined as a republic and only landowners could vote?
We need to pass a new welfare reform bill, (if conservatives ever have the majority again), If you are on public assistance, you loose the right to vote. The only way you can regain it is to go off public assistance.
I now have a sly smirk on my face .......
I am MORE than tired of hearing Ted Nugent’s opinion on ANYTHING...
This wannabe patriot brought eternal shame on himself by the means he used and proudly admitted to the world of how he avoided the draft during the unpleasantness in Vietnam...
Google Ted Nugent and the Draft..... You wouldn’t believe it if I simply told you -— So do your own research..
Nugent is a POS, a phony “Man’s man” with a cowardly and traitorous streak up his back as wide as his chicken shit ass.
Viva la Nuge!
See Post #31.
Nugent is a phony and cowardly “patriot”.
See Post #31
The ultimate irony - in the end, after we have given them the power and the money, the “stuff” most individuals get in return from the Gov’t is pretty meagre.
I changed my mind — fearing the some folks might be too lazy to check for themselves...
This is just ONE of the MANY explanations of Nugent’s behavior with the Republic his vigorously defends with his mouth - left his ass behind.

Proof: Ted Nugent Is A Draft Dodger. Will Hannity Keep Defending Him?
Since we’ve been discussing Ted Nugent lately, this seemed a good time to bring up Nugent’s draft dodging. It’s well known that Nugent claims to have gone to great lengths to flunk his Draft Board physical. What’s not so well-known is that he got a student deferment at the same time he was touring with his rock band, putting in an average of 300 shows a year. How was he going to school and touring that much at the same time?
One of our readers sent me a copy of an extract of Nugents Selective Service records, obtained via a FOIA request (copy below). As you can see, Nugent received student deferments in 1967 (1-S) and 1968 (2-S). But according to the Internet Movie Data Base website, Nugent has been performing professionally since 1958, non-stop yearly touring since 1967, averaging more than 300 shows per year ‘67-73. Hmm, that would include the two years he was supposedly too wrapped up in his studies to be serving his country.
But that hasnt stopped Nugent from insisting that if he HAD served, he would have been one big mofo soldier. As the Rutland Herald reported, Here’s what Nugent said he would have done if he went to Vietnam:
“ if I would have gone over there, I’d have been killed, or I’d have killed, or I’d kill all the hippies in the foxholes I would have killed everybody,” he told the Detroit Free Press in an interview published July 15, 1990.”
The Herald also noted that Nugents efforts to avoid the draft make President Bush look like a war hero.
(Nugent claims) that 30 days before his Draft Board Physical, he stopped all forms of personal hygiene. The last 10 days he ingested nothing but junk food and Pepsi, and a week before his physical, he stopped using the bathroom altogether, virtually living inside his pants caked with excrement and urine. That spectacle won Nugent a deferment.
Sean Hannity went to ridiculous lengths Friday night (8/24/07) to defend Nugent’s threatening rants against Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama. FOX & Friends whitewashed Nugent’s comments the next day. Apparently, this “patriot” can do no wrong on the “We like America” network.
“He’s gonna pay my mortgage and fill my gas tank.”
Some people grow up... maybe that’s true in Teds case.
But your point is well taken!
so you’re are going to do to Ted Nugent, what the left does to us all time.??
wonderful
Hopefully there is an enterprising soul out there who knows the person that stated this and could do a follow-up a year or two later.
They could ask "after two years of Obama, is your mortgage paid off, and is your gas tank being filled for free?" and then get the reaction. Then we will know even more about the mindset of these people.
I know if it were a Republican voter saying something stupid, and if the Republican won, you can guarantee that the news media would do a follow up on that voter.
