Begging Your Pardon

Justice: Two Border Patrol agents convicted of shooting a drug smuggler have been resentenced for the crime of protecting the borders of the United States. Mr. President, you do not have the right to remain silent.

Former agents Ignacio Ramos and Jose Compean are 20 months into their sentences for shooting drug dealer Osvaldo Aldrete Davila, who tried to elude the two agents after driving a van near Fabens, Texas, that was found to hold 743 pounds of marijuana. He tried to flee back to Mexico and was shot in the buttocks by the agents who had reason to believe he was armed.

Last week the two agents had their resentencing hearing before U.S. District Judge Kathleen Cordone. The hearing was prompted by the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals' throwing out a minor obstruction of justice count. Ramos and Compean were resentenced to virtually their original 11- and 12-year sentences, the bulk of which is a mandatory sentence of 10 years for the use of a firearm in the commission of a crime.

Ramos and Compean were charged under section 924(c) of the criminal code. This section is intended to punish felons who use firearms in the commission of a crime, not law enforcement officers attempting to apprehend lawbreakers.

Rep. Ted Poe, R-Texas, who plans to introduce clarifying legislation, says: "It was never the intent of Congress to have U/S.C. Section 924 (c) apply to law enforcement officers."

If anyone deserves a pardon, former agents Ignacio Ramos and Jose Compean are the ones. I pray that President Bush includes them in the presidential pardons before he leaves office on January 20th

Another injustice the rino President Bush is overlooking much as he has so many conservative judicial ruling during his 8 years, he had so many chances and opportunities to turn back the marxist left simply by using the veto pen and he laid down and let the marxists destroy conservatism by standing with the left.
I will not waste my good vote on the liberal lite rino party anymore.

Unfortunately I'm willing to bet that he does not.

What goes around comes around, anyone think Bush will not be brought to trial for war crimes by the world court.

I love pay back, let the injustice roll which George W Bush started himself.

This is why he is the worst President, I am so sorry I voted for him. What a big disappointment.

What war crimes? Do you think liberating 25 million people from a ruthless dictator and evil regime is a crime? I suggest you crawl back under your rock from where you crawled out from

War crimes???? So did you learn this in Sunday school? Sounds like a 'religious' doctrine... One of those WWJD mantras or liberation theology?

Sorry, Maybe what I mean is not comming out correctly. I do not mean that I think Bush should be brought up on charges for war crimes. Forgive me.

But I do mean, since these border agents were brought up unjustly that he will also be brought up on charges unjustly.

Since he is turning a blind eye to these border agents, so a blind eye will happen to him.

You cannot deny that those who hate George Bush have been talking about this all the time.

Much different wording than what you first posted. Agree? Anyway, the first time I heard GWB on the campaign trail using the words Compassionate Conservative I knew it was a religious injection. I did not know what exactly he was using the phrase to mean, but it did not take long to figure out he was speaking about the hoards of illegals that under Clintonism were invited to invade this nation.

I do believe that GWB sought to assimilate or change the laws that made this invasion now legal wherein these people could freely move back and forth across borders. And even more for him to deal with had to be the awareness that there was NO way that under his watch could he start loading up millions of people and send them back where they came. Early on when that German socialist called GWB Hitler-Nazi like I knew then and there the left was willing to have blood shed in our own states/cities/and highways if GWB made a move to start mass deportation.

And let us not forget the 'economy' wing of institutions were clamoring for cheap labor. And those who profited off cheap labor were NOT just liberals but the highly self esteemed moderates that had the funds to hire cheap labor to keep their lawns manicured and toilets cleansed.

Now it was not GWB who prosecuted these two so I think the first in line to get what is coming would be that prosecutor.

Here is from an earlier IBD editorial. I suggest you read it

Academia: So 98% of history professors adjudge George Bush's presidency a failure and 61% say he's the worst president ever. And we thought historians studied history, not events too recent to be properly assessed.

Too Quick To Judge

Don't bet the rent money. Dubya personally sent his friend Johnny Sutton down there to send a message to the BP, and to Mexico (Soy su amigo).

Heck, don't even bet the Milk Money.

Clock is ticking. Please, please, please contact President Bush. Keep it nice. I know some of you think it wont help, but, there’s strength in numbers.
