CHICAGO (Reuters) - President-elect Barack Obama will meet with his former rival, Republican Sen. John McCain, on Monday to talk about ways they can work together, an Obama spokeswoman said on Friday.
The meeting between the former competitors will take place in Chicago at Obama's transition headquarters two weeks after the Democratic senator won a decisive victory over McCain in the November 4 election.
It will be the first time the two have spoken since McCain called Obama to concede the election. McCain gave an emotional speech after the concession in which he promised to help his former rival address the country's many challenges.

It amazes me that McCain has no dignity at all. How can he go kiss O’s feet like this? He gave signals when he ran the commerical congratulating O on winning the nomination, throwing his own supporters under the bus for using O’s middle name.......and on and on and on.

It takes McCain less than a day to set up meeting with Obama, but he still won’t stand up and unequivocally defend Palin from the cowardly attacks she has endured from his own campaign staff over the past two weeks. Speaks volumes.
Good point...It took McCain less time to “reach out” (become liberal) to Obama, than it did to defend his VP candidate from his own staff...a real treasonous loser

The only solace is that we did not want what will happen in the next 4 years to be blamed on conservatives. It was coming anyway and now the RINO/DINO/Progressos take all the blame. Conservatism can only go up from here.
