UPPER MARLBORO, Md. - A Prince George's Community College student says she was driven from class because of her political beliefs.
Gloria Alfonzo says she endured racial taunts and slurs because she supported John McCain's presidential campaign.
Her problems, she said, began with an assignment to write about the merits of Barack Obama. When she announced she differed with Obama, Alfonzo says her African-American classmates subjected her to an onslaught of racial hatred.
"I was frightened," she recalled. "It was horrible; it was extremely horrible. I was a little scared."
Alfonzo said all of her classmates -- except for herself and one other -- were black, as was the instructor, Ayanna Watson. She says the teacher demanded to know whether she is a Republican.
Alfonzo maintains her answer drove her fellow students into a racially-charged rage.
"They got up from their chairs they started pointing at me and, um, saying, 'You are a daughter of a,' you know, '[expletive deleted]' and '[expletive deleted] white girl,'" she said.
Chris Monroe was in the same class.
"I have never seen so much hate for one person," he recalled.

A salute from me to you on your stance. By the time I was in the 8th grade, I was the ONLY white child in the class. Things were not well and such leaves an ever lasting impression on one.
Prince George’s Community College serves approximately 37,000 students. The student body is 76% African American, 64% female, and has international students from 100 nations around the world. The average age of Prince George’s students is 29.
In Spring of 2007, the College selected its first female president, Dr. Charlene Dukes.

My son attends third grade at Nashville’s richest public school where they bus in 25% ghetto kids chosen by lottery.
Otherwise it’s 75% meterosexual whites with chinny moms and demure dads....typical genX and Y professionals today looks like anywhere above the cotton belt (freepers excluded)
Wade was the Mccain rep at his school in programs and gave a speech...he’s very verbal...extremely.
he has since been in several altercations and arguments with a few white kids and several black kids
the school has handled it best they can, teachers do not take sides particularly and some were McCain folks but they do try to squash it and talk “unity”
it will be a life lesson for him..
I’d say the school was around 70% Obama....Nashville proper went for Obama about that margin

Those that have that attitude are those that had it before. Only they are more outspoken. It’s what I call the “ghetto attitude”. There are conservative blacks. The blacks at my job have never had this kind of attitude. It’s like Martin Luther King’s dream. They are just people. Sadly, those in the world with the bad attitude make themselves louder.

Yep. It’s so hard to believe children so young can be so viciously hateful. They are part of a generation who has never truly suffered. All this hatred. At times like this I wish we had shipped them all to Africa, they wouldn’t be here hating whitey. They would be in their African paradise with their bros.

Racism can’t beat racism. Don’t give in to the urge to treat individuals in a different way just because the actions of some in a group they are associated with are hurtful or dangerous. However, “Trust, but verify.”
Note how Obama won’t denounce any of these crimes. On election day in Philly, Black Panthers were intimidating voters.
