It's a traditional prayer for NASA types (Dear Lord, Please don't let me screw up{insert variations here}). Goes back to the 1950s. It's better than the Russian/USSR equivalent.

Indeed, prayers lifted for a safe flight.

No other enterprise that man attempts is so likely to fail, just from it's size and complexity.

Every successful launch and return is an affirmation of men and women who studied.... REALITY. And didn't compromise.
