I had a weave like that one, that is so 1990. AND I got lost in the mall one time I came out 6 hours later with 2 pairs of shoes, a Coach purse and 3 new outfits. Is someone gonna worship me next?

...when believers say he spent months without moving, sitting with his eyes closed beneath a tree.

I did that a lot when I was a teenager, too.......;^)

No no. That can’t be him. I saw that guy last Sunday at the local flea market selling pirated CDs. That has to be an imposter.

The followers of Ram Bahadur Bamjan, 18, believe he has been meditating without food and water since he was first spotted in the jungles of southern Nepal in 2005, when believers say he spent months without moving, sitting with his eyes closed beneath a tree.

Anyone check for a pulse yet?

Buddha was one amazing dude. Ironically he would not have approved of all the statues in his honor.

Idiot press story: The newsreader on the local radio station had a story yesterday about this boy in Nepal. As the final line she said in amazement "and thousands have traveled all the way from India too see him." I guess she had never actually seen a map of Nepal or India if she could actually say that.

Heck, I trust him more than Obama. At least Bamjan would just sit there doing nothing.

What value is there in literally doing nothing? Why should that be deserving of worship?

I do not agree with worshiping anything. But, if I did, I would choose to worship something that reflected the values I believe in. For example: honest work, courage, innovation

I just cannot understand how literally doing nothing can be considered a virtue or be deserving of admiration.

He has a somewhat pompous expression, imho. Nothing like the Dalai Lama for example. The spiritual leader of Tibet has such an open and warm demeanor.

He looks remarkably well fed for a guy who hasn't eaten in 3 years.

He looks rather chubby for someone who is meditating without food and water. Just an observation. :)
