In a 2006 interview with Ben Smith of the NY Daily News, Rahm Emanuel, who will be Barack Obama's White House chief of staff, laughed at Smith's concerns about how far-reaching a mandatory civil-service plan would be.

Do not be lulled by the Judas Goats. There are very dark days ahead if you are a lover of freedom.
"To avoid being mistaken for a sellout, I chose my friends carefully. The more politically active black students. The foreign students. The Chicanos. The Marxist professors and structural feminists."
Sport, I don’t know how this would keep someone calm. This is far from soothing. I find it a complete intrusion of privacy. A diary? He wants to know if someone wrote something embaressing in a diary? This is over the top. He’s definitely forming a tight and strict administration/support that will be able to rule without a media scandal. But, if he were to fill out the application, it would be a shocker. I’d like him to start first with openness concerning his full birth certificate.
I do agree that he will be the one to speak to the public to do the convincing and then he’ll have his admin do the hard pushing of his policies. I’m hoping after a while, there will be buyers remorse. Let’s hope too much damage will not be done to our freedom in the next 4 years (I can’t even stand to think 8).
But, maybe you’re right, maybe this is calming his voters. But, it certainly doesn’t calm me.
Me either. But I did not vote for him.
You are correct, the dealings in his life has been very strategic. That was a good point you made, and it slipped my mind, regarding his aunt & brother. Who would have thought that the choices he made in his life would have benefited him. I find the choices far from wise, yet like everyone says, the media has chosen a biased view - and it has effected the thought process of the sheep.
It blows my mind when I hear comments like Linda Trip referring to Obama’s ‘purity of soul’. Well, you guys feel the same way, so I don’t have to say it.
You wanna live like that?
They can use the same questions for their “Civil-Service Force”. After all, those imperfections must be dealt with so everyone can be on the same page and have Emmanuel's “Common Experience”. And better make a questionnaire for all public school children to find out what their parents attitudes and views are at home (as some districts have already done in the past). Wonder if they are going to database everyone to keep track of them.
