Gee, maybe they’ll stop funding ACORN.

They don’t seem to be wishing him “every success” as are some others.

Good.

Way to stand up bishops....better late than never. Still would like to see Biden, Pelosi excommunicated. Actually, I’d prefer to see a public repentance on their part. I wonder which is more likely?

The Bishops and the cardinals have finally gotten straight to the point. No ifs, ands, or buts!

The next step after Bishop Martino taking on Biden should be the Senator bob casey jr.

GO BISHOPS1

From the article: "There are grave consequences," Paprocki said in an interview. "If Catholic hospitals were required by federal law to perform abortions, we'd have to close our hospitals." "I don't think I'm being alarmist," Paprocki told the bishops. George agreed that losing federal funds would put Catholic health care facilities, which make up a third of the nation's hospitals, out of business. Closing Catholic hospitals would put many patients seeking charitable care from those facilities at risk, he added.

Our bishops have been MIA for decades now, but I'm getting a sense that the tide is FINALLY turning.

God bless and protect our good and holy bishops!

Which one of the Bishops was it that had the biggest fit about the Faithful Citizenship document? I can’t remember who it was.

Didn't I see an article stating that more Catholics went for Obama then Mccain? If thats true the bishops should confront themselves.

That’s it. Obama is the AntiChrist!

BTW, it is getting harder to argue with my friends that he is NOT the AC, especially since it looks like his first actions as President will involve abortion and stem cell research.

Oh, well we only have him around until 2012.

Wait a minute!

Isn’t that the date the Mayan Calender ends?

This is getting TOO CREEPY.

But doesn’t this criticism make the bishops “racists?” Especially since “people of color” seem so enamored of killing their children (way to show “whitey,” btw).

Well, as much as this is LONG overdue, I have to ask..what “teeth” does this have?

Will the Bishops finally do the right thing, and ex-communicate pro-abortion politicians? (They should). Refuse them Communion? (Ditto).

Doubt it. The Catholic Church is also a political entity IMHO (unfortunately), and they don’t want to “make too many waves”. Hence, the “wiffing” on REAL support for the unborn.

We’ve been attending Catholic Mass for over 15 years now..I think I can count on ONE hand the number of Homilies I’ve heard on the topic. What’s THAT tell ya?

Yeah... what are they gonna do now? hold up a cross and bag of garlic cloves???

Not to belittle bishops, but what kind of clout do they think they really have with this guy???

They should have forced the issue with voters a LONG TIME AGO!
OHHH... but nooooo.... gotta protect that precious tax free status of the church now dont we? Just like the Trinity Church of Christ and Farrakhan’s Nation of Islam protects theirs right???

Give me a break.

Either we Christians serve God or we serve man. We can’t have it both ways.
