Georgia Democrats Attack Georgia Congressman (Broun) over Obama Comments (Marxistgate)

Georgia Democrats attack the comments made by Congressman Paul Broun of Athens.

Broun has been calling the President-elect a Marxist... and warned he would form a domestic security force like Hitler did.

A Democratic party spokesman calls the comments ridiculous and undignified.

He says Broun is proving to be part of an extremist political fringe.

Of course, that's what Republicans said about Rep. Cynthia McKinney a few years back.

She generated national headlines when she claimed that President Bush may have been in on the 9-11 attacks.

Rep. Broun raised eyebrows with his comments at a civic luncheon.

And he backed them up in an interview with the Associated press.

Here is that article:

WASHINGTON (AP) — A Republican congressman from Georgia said Monday he fears that President-elect Obama will establish a Gestapo-like security force to impose a Marxist dictatorship.

"It may sound a bit crazy and off base, but the thing is, he's the one who proposed this national security force," Rep. Paul Broun said of Obama in an interview Monday with The Associated Press. "I'm just trying to bring attention to the fact that we may — may not, I hope not — but we may have a problem with that type of philosophy of radical socialism or Marxism."

Am I missing something here?? Is it really that big of a deal to call Obama a marxist when he stated in his own book that he aligns himself with radicals and marxists? I mean am I drinking kool-aide?

Great. So now Hume thinks Obama is just another democrat, not a marxist. You are a fool, Brit.

Yeh, I’d say so. President Reagan made a career of threatening communists or outright killing them. I saw nothing wrong with that.

Georgia Democrats attack the comments (that 0bama is a Marxist) made by Congressman Paul Broun of Athens.

They should. Why? Because the democrat controlled congress (lower case on purpose), and president elect 0bama haven't done a thing, yet.

As soon as the messiah's first piece of legislation is signed into law (or as the Forehead Bagala says, "stroke of the pen, law of the land"), not until then will Paul Broun of Athens be correct.

I don’t think anything would have changed the outcome of the election. ACORN made sure they had the votes beginning with their efforts during Clinton’s years. They knew they were going to win because they had the numbers in hand. Besides, Obamatrons had no clue who they were voting for, they just wanted “Change”.

Any suggestions on how to go from “playing defense” to an offensive position? I’d like to hear some talking points on how to get around the MSM Obamaswooning.

"Next step:

"Republicans join Democrats in denouncing Broun's comments....

That's happened already in Georgia.

His comments to the Associated Press, however, drew criticism from Georgia Democrats and both of the state’s Republican senators Tuesday.

“I don’t agree with the statement,” said Sen. Johnny Isakson, who called the president-elect Monday and left a message of congratulations.

Sen. Saxby Chambliss echoed that view. “I commend President-elect Obama on his historic election,” said the senator, who faces a run-off Dec. 2 with Democratic challenger Jim Martin.

Chambliss said of Broun’s Hitler remarks, “I do not agree with him and I do not believe that type of political rhetoric is appropriate.”

Martin was measured in his critique, calling Broun’s remarks “extremely unfortunate” and adding, “We ought not to engage in that kind of rhetoric.”

You have to love this guy:

On a visit to the University of Georgia, Congressman Broun talks with head football coach Mark Richt and discusses legislative issues facing the university.

Broun's Four-Way Test
I am committed to protecting the constitutional rights and pocketbooks of every American. I will apply the following four-way test to every piece of legislation that comes before the House for a vote:

1) Is it Moral / Right?
2) Is it Constitutional?
3) Is it Necessary?
4) Is it Affordable?

Checks with God first, then the Constitution, then whether it's really needed, and then if we can actually afford it.

Me: The guy is a socialist.
Lib: Don’t be absurd.
Me: I have facts to back up my argument.
Lib: I bet you do, but I don’t want to see them.

If I knew people in the GOP, I would suggest that they flood the airwaves with the Coleman race. Put it out there about the “car” votes.

Start screaming about Barney Frank wanting to nationalize the auto industry. Explain to the dimwits that they are taking money out of our paychecks to pay the auto workers who are probably making a hell of alot more on top of it. That’s how the Dems do it, they get a slant that appeals to the greed of the average voter then beat them to death with it.

We don’t have the mainstream media but we can get the word out if we try.

OFFENSE!!
