GAME ON: Sarah Palin talks about 2012
The Sarah Palin 2012 Videos Channel at YouTube (subscribe today) ^ | 11-11-08 | Sarah Barracuda Palin

Essentially, she affirms being excited about the prospect and says that if the door is open, she will go through it. I say conservative supporters of Sarah Real Deal Palin help push that 2012 door open for her by establishing websites, talking with friends, posting articles, writing letters to the editor, and such. Video here. Make no mistake, the day will come when the North Star will be asked, "Sarah, are you running for President in 2012?", and the answer will come in two iconic words:

"You betcha!"

Yes you are correct, BUT no matter how GOOD you are as governor, no matter if you could walk on water, if you CANT deliver your message, you will be un electable and its going to be a LONG 8 years...

Republicans need to get away from porky pig syndrome and start electing people who can talk the talk (and of course govern)

She had her same global warming “we must do something” ideas before the campaign selected her. We shall see if she changes her tune.

She is a talent to be sure.

I agree, he’s great. He came in 7th place in the primaries, but he’s great. Great, but completely unelectable. Love him on the issues, though.

Sarah can and will strongly advocate the conservative position on each and every last one of those issues. We can count on Sarah.

What a horrible picture of Gov Palin.
She is much prettier than the picture you used.

Sarah had to support Mccain’s positions on those 2 issues. That’s part of being a VP candidate-doesn’t mean she really believed every word she uttered.

Sarah's just RIGHT for America !

If Sarah hadn't come along, neither I or my wife would have voted.

May not have made any difference, but there you have it.

ROFL. I’m sure he’ll be heard from when the McCain/Obama amnesty plan is re-intorduced. Palin will remain silent

Not her role as governor to be involved. Can’t say many illegals make it all the way to Alaska.

She’s the one who bragged that she was did not have to “check her opinions at the door”. She made sure to tell us she still supported ANWR despite McQueeg. She made sure she to tell us she supported McCain’s comprehensive immigration reform, better known as amnesty.

Time will tell.

It’s not just about qualifications. It’s also about charisma and being able to excite the base. Hunter does not do that, and Palin does.

We don’t even know what platform she would run on. She was supporting McCain, but we don’t know her views yet. We need to find them out. However, she has star power, and we need that.

What a horrible picture of Gov Palin. She is much prettier than the picture you used.

Yes, but that picture conveys a determination and resoluteness that no other picture of her does.

Nonsense. Hunter is much better on his feet than Palin. Better speeches too. Especially content wise.

Her first task should be finish her term as Governor of Alaska, and to do it very well, as she has done up to this point. She then needs to associate with an independent conservative group, such as Heritage Foundation, which would offer a platform and access to the people she needs to recruit as supporters and fundraisers.

After completing her term as governor, she needs to avoid any other official position (Congress, Senate, Cabinet, etc.) for the following two years. Such positions impose limits on where she could go, what she could do or say, and what she could earn. She needs to learn, speak, and write.

She will be a VERY popular speaker and fundraiser for conservative republican candidates at all levels, and she can earn a lot of support by making herself available to them. In 1976, after Ronald Reagan, lost his challenge to Gerald Ford, he delivered the most important and memorable speech of the Convention.

Then he kept himself in the game by being the most articulate (and prolific) conservative spokesman around, constantly comparing and contrasting conservative ideas against the almost daily failures and fluffs of the Carter maladministration. It’s a proven plan, and she could do far worse that follow it.

No one ever claimed that McCain had star power, and no claim about anything such brought him to the nomination. He got the nomination due to a lack of faith in conservative ideals within the Republican Party.
