REAGAN at CPAC: Our people look for a cause to believe in. Is it a third party we need, or is it a new and revitalized second party, raising a banner of no pale pastels, but bold colors which make it unmistakably clear where we stand on all of the issues troubling the people?
A political party cannot be all things to all people. It must represent certain fundamental beliefs which must not be compromised to political expediency, or simply to swell its numbers.

An excellent book is “Reagan’s Revolution” by Craig Shirley. It makes the point that the “revolution” really occurred in 76 when Reagan lost the nomination but won the hearts and minds of the people. I hope we’re seeing the Palin revolution today, 2008.
No wonder the RINOs are in such a hurry to forget Reagan.

I hope she goes for it. We’re already hearing rumblings from Mitt Romney (God help us.)
President Reagan gave this speech before CPAC on March 1st, 1975.
This of course changes nothing regarding the timeliness of the comments or their timeless nature... but unlike the MSM some of us care about accuracy.
