On Sunday, November 9, a band of about 30 gays stormed a church in Lansing, Michigan. Some were well dressed and were stationed inside Mount Hope Church; others were outside dressed in pink and black. The group of self-described homosexual anarchists, Bash Back!, claims the evangelical church is guilty of “transphobia and homophobia.”

The protesters outside the church were beating on buckets, shouting “Jesus was a homo” on a megaphone and carrying an upside-down pink cross. Fire alarms went off inside the church, protesters stormed the pulpit and a huge rainbow-colored flag was unfurled with the inscription, “IT’S OKAY TO BE GAY! BASH BACK!” The church was vandalized, obscenities were shouted and worshippers were confronted. There were no arrests.

Catholic League president Bill Donohue addressed this issue today:

“The real story here is the refusal of the mainstream media to cover what is surely one of the most disturbing events of 2008. If an organized group of gay bashers stormed a gay church, there is not a single sentient person in the United States who wouldn’t know about it.

“This is urban fascism come to America’s heartland. It must be quickly stopped before it gets out of control. We are contacting Mike Cox, the Attorney General of Michigan, calling for an investigation.”

The real problem is these radical groups have no fear.They think that the government has their back. I say, put the fear of God in them and when they do something like this, protect yourselves and property. I know, they have cameras ready to show the media how evil their attackers are...But they will think twice before coming back for more face breaking.Sometimes fear is a good thing.

We haven't seen anything yet - Barack Hussein Øbama has not even been sworn in yet, but believe me his cult faithful are going to be venting their anger at the RIGHT just as quickly as they can organize in the streets.

I have a silly little question...if they want inside the church so much why don't they just make their own instead of bothering others? People do it all the time.

Somebody, somewhere is asking to get hurt over this. There will be a time when this group will pick the wrong church and they will live to regret it, that is, if they live at all. Knowhuthimean, Vern? You can only provoke someone to a certain point and then there will be a violent reaction. I've even seen day old baby chicks put up a fight when provoked and/or cornered. I personally think if they keep it to their private bedrooms, I have no problem, at least in a legal sense, spiritually is another matter, but what people are going to do, they will do. I'm even open to a limited civil union where at least you know who is with whom and for purposes like power of attorney and so forth.

However, when they act like this, they blow all their credibility and only hurt the homosexuals who only want to be left alone in peace. If they want to live in peace and work like we all do, I can accept them, but I just see this as part of the larger picture of liberal fascism.

A friend of mine goes to this church and mentioned the attack. I helped out there at an AiG creation conference back in the 90's. It's sad that people who preach love for everyone and the need for all people to repent and be reconciled with their creator are satanically attacked with lies that are diametrically opposite the truth.

Christians should love homosexuals; and it is precisely for that reason that we ought to call their sin, sin, and urge them to repent and seek restoration through Christ. What's next - attacked Christians for being 'anti-burglar' for teaching against theft, and claims that Christians 'hate' burglars?
