It's still looking good for the McClintock team!

Great news from CA-04! If McClintock holds on, he should be able to secure this seat in perpetuity. McClintock is a staunch conservative reformer - the kind we desperately need in Washington right now.

Don't worry - I'm sure some missing ACORN ballots will fall out of the sky.

Looks like ACORN botched this particular race.

About 5000 ballots were counted in El Dorado County and he went up 122 on that batch. There are about 10,000 more in that County. He’s going to go down a bit when Nevada County counts on Wednesday or Thursday, but then he should go back up again on most everything else. There are 20,000 left in Placer County and that batch should be very good for Tom.

This is good news, if he holds onto it. McClintock is the sort of conservative leader we need to have placed in the House, and cultivate for future political ambitions.

This is AWESOME. He will be a very good addition to the Republican ranks in Congress! This is great news!

Did they find any more votes for Al Franken while they were at it?

Tom should teach Norm Coleman how these things are done.

Can you refresh our memory again as to what office Tom McClintock is running for this time? I am in California and familiar with his name, but out of state readers may need more info.

The last I recall he was representing Ventura County in either the CA State Assembly or Senate.......

Since when does a post-election lead for a Republican ever widen? Something fishy here.

Woo hoo! Go Tom! He would immediately become one of the top conservative voices in Washington. I know they don’t elect first-termers to leadership roles in the House, but he would be a very effective spokesman for the national party the day he arrives. RNC are you listening? :)
