Just hours after President Bush and President-elect Obama met in the Oval Office of the White House, details of their confidential conversation began leaking out to the press, igniting anger from the president, sources claim.
"Senator Obama would be wise to keep close counsel," a top Bush source warned.
"BUSH AND OBAMA AT ODDS OVER AID FOR AUTO INDUSTRY," splashed the NEW YORK TIMES in an exclusive Monday evening, quoting "people familiar with the discussion."
The two met at the White House in private, without staff.
"Bush indicated at the meeting that he might support some aid and a broader economic stimulus package if Obama and congressional Democrats dropped their opposition to a free-trade agreement with Colombia," claimed the TIMES.

The ASSOCIATED PRESS quickly followed with details of the conversation, citing "aides who described the discussion on grounds of anonymity, citing the private nature of the meeting."
Bush advisers view the leaks as an effort to undermine the president's remaining days in office.
"Senator Obama may not be familiar with a long-standing tradition of presidents holding their private conversations, private," a senior adviser explained to the DRUDGE REPORT.

Why would he fire them? They were following orders.
The Liars Club
When are the Republicans going to get a clue. The real enemy is not Al-Qaeda its the people sitting across the aisle. We do not want to reach across to them any longer!! we want to fight for our way of life. The Democrats are a threat to our liberty and I am tired of compromising with them. It is time to fight them tooth and nail. I refuse to let this country become a socialist nanny state like Europe.
That President Bush (and John McCain) continue to not understand what we are dealing with here is mindboggling!
IOW, *O* is the leaker.
Waits with popcorn..
The reason for not pursing criminal charges is obvious but remember who we're talking about. The rules dont apply to the One.
If they met w/out staff, Obama had to leak to the staff who leaked to the press.
Any hope O had for Republicans making nice evaporated when he slandered Nancy Reagan.
Obama’s gonna be as great a prez as Dinkins was a great mayor for NYC.
Yep.
We thought we set some new “lows” during the Clinton administration. We haven’t seen anything compared to what is coming in the next 4 years.
There were no aides present.
“If Obama had any character (which, of course, he doesnt) he would find out who is doing the leaking and fire them now.”
The Obama moment ... Every leak begins in the first drip.
They’re “non-union” until the “Employee Free Choice Act” gets passed.
Then Guido the Union Thug shows up at your house and says:
“Hey, yoos forgots to sign yoos UNION CARD. Nice house, nice family - I’d hate to see anything happen to them.”
The Kennedys are punks, too - so birds of a feather....
Of course, Hussein will bail out his union buddies. They’ll continue to use taxpayer money to fund more RATS.
